drinking this now, my 1st offering from grand river.

very nice beer but i wouldn't really place it as an ipa personally. seems much more like a hoppy west coast amber to me but i'm not complaining, i love drinking a fresh local beer.

Tests results have shown that shaking carboys/splashing wort do not get O2 levels anywhere near high enough. i got a lot of smokiness/burnt flavor in this beer. the aroma of it reminded me of walking into Tim Horton's before the indoor smoking ban.

surprised to hear the negative comments towards the mill st. barley wine. i was always under the impression it was one of the better barley wines around.

anyways, look forward to trying some of these beers as i've yet to get into barley wines.
