Yeah, sounds about right. No offense taken, it's not my hometown. That's just the situation there. Thank goodness for Half Pints! As for the liquor stores there, just as good/bad as LCBO, just a different selection. My next two trips out of town are Boston and Cleveland. Very much looking forward to...

Nope. If she wants to drink it (which she does) I have to brew it (which I do). I'm very lucky to have her as a fan! I also have full support for purchases of ingredients etc. when I do go shopping. so...should I get out of my kitchen and into the back yard to brew? Is that easier... Not unless you have to. I do 5 gallon batches all the time on my stove top. I do all grain with a cooler for a mash tun and a 7 gallon keggle for my boil kettle. It works and the beer is decent. Yes, it would be m...

Yeah, Half Pints is the beer of choice for sure. Original Joe's did have their own house beers on tap. Several different styles and well worth trying although nothing super outstanding. I had some and then went back to the Half Pints Li'l Scrapper IPA, a very decent IPA. Original Joe's house beers ...

Ok, I'm sold!
Have had a couple of pints of Poor Man's Black and Velvet and I like it!

It all balances out quite nicely.

Re: Cider
I tried it blended with Russian Gun and Sinha Stout 50/50 and this is superb, I can see why the mix of stout and cider is popular in the U.K. I just tapped a keg of my own cider and have a part keg of my licorice imperial stout on tap. I may try a blend of the two as you suggest but it may take a b...
