Speaking of which, does anybody know where/if the date appears on Mill St. 6-packs? I was just at the BS; there doesn't seem to be any date on Mill St. boxes. There is one on the bottles themselves, but I think that's the bottling date, not a best-before. :-? It's not only Mill St. that didn't have...

Mmm, there's some got-to-have's there! Samuel Smith's Nut Brown was probably 1 of the best IMO of that style, so their Imperial Stout will be topping my try-list. I've loved the Koningshoeven Triple on tap, so it'll be nice to have a few bottles to have when ever I want. 8) Westmalle Dubbel will def...

Perhaps the bottles were kept on the shelves for too long? That does happen. I bought a 6er of Muskoka Dark Ale a month or so ago, and didn't notice until I got home that the expiry date was about 3 days past. :( I don't know if Muskoka Dark Ale is a beer that ages well, but it tasted OK. Still, as...

Just to confirm, the Paulaner Salvator is on tap at Beer Bistro. Good to see this personal fav beer making the rounds. But the Ephemére Apple is on list, yet has not been delivered yet (due around the end of the month, IIRC). I just enjoyed a leisurely afternoon at Beer Bistro, with the excuse for t...

I wonder if the Great Lakes will actually be the Orange Peel, or maybe their Chocolate Orange ? Or was the Chocolate Orange draught a seasonal one-off? I was under the impression that the Chocolate Orange was a one off for Volo's 20th Anniversary, but I could be wrong... Hmm, I suspect you're right...

I'm looking forward to checking out several of them.

Any time another variety of Unibroue is coming my way is good news to me. :)

Having had Paulaner Salvator in both bottle (very good) and draught (even better), I strongly recommend it to anyone who likes dark malty beers or wants to try something distinctly different. It reminded me a bit of the Thomas Hardy's Ale. Hmm, I've never had the Ephemére Apple . That's Unibroue , r...

Just a quick note, my shots from the afternoon are now posted to Flickr. http://flickr.com/photos/tags/volo20thanniversary Looking through this, I really wish I had come about an hour earlier, so I would've had time to try the Cameron's Pomegranate Cream Ale. It even looks different than anything I...

I'll add my thanks to all involved. Distinctive little place, with great atmosphere. My 1st time to Volo has made sure that it won't be the last. :) I finally got to try Denison's, a very nice representation of Weissbier. I had half pints (it's easier to make choices when I have more options  ...

I've never been to Volo, but looking at that list, I'm sorely tempted to make the drive to T.O. for a 1st visit. The GO Train from Mississauga would make a lot more sense considering the nature of the event! I'm just sayin... Considering that I see about 6 brews I'm interested in, that's a good ide...

I loved "The Brewery" special, especially the segment on Dieu de Ciel . I see that the special was made in 2007, and that Dieu de Ciel was expending into a new bigger brewery location. That leaves me wondering why Dieu de Ciel beers still aren't available in Ontario? What's the story on th...

I know the store in Meadowvale (Mississauga) http://www.thebeerstore.ca/ourstores/storedetails.asp?id=27 has about a half dozen 6-packs, as I was there just this week. I know the TBS's site's "Your Beer" search function and store stock listings aren't necessarily up to date, but here's som...

I stand quite rightly corrected. At least I spelled broos right. :)
