Has it yet dawned on anybody yet that Quelque Chose is no longer being made? I believe this to be not mere speculation but fact. I was wondering why I couldn't find this listed on the LCBO site... :( Talk about adding insult to injury! Not only is the review smarmy and ingnorant, but it also pointl...

Perhaps on St. Patrick's Day I should rack myself up a bunch of different stouts from the LCBO to compare differences in style. In that case, I'd recommend something that seem obvious, but is worth mentioning anyway: St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout http://www.ratebeer.com/Brewers/Beer/Beer-Reviews-839.htm

Re: Paulaner Salvator & John By stout on tap at West 50.
Good stuff! I didn't know the Salvator was available in kegs at TBS. It would be a perfect beer for this time of year. In my growing education in the appreciation of all-things-beer :) I know I still have much to learn ... but the lesson of why some beers are seasonal is having a hard time finding ...

Paulaner Salvator & John By stout on tap at West 50.
Just FYI, since I haven't seen anyone else mention it. I had a pint of each today. I've enjoyed both in bottles, but the draughts were even better! I love to take credit for the addition of the Paulaner Salvator to the West 50 list -- since I recommended it on their online comment card, when I saw t...

Does anyone know whether any of the TBS stores in mississauga have trois pistoles in stock? The Meadowvale BS http://www.thebeerstore.ca/ourstores/storedetails.asp?id=27 got maybe a dozen back in December. I've since gone through two 6 packs, with a 3rd awaiting my attention in the fridge. :) That ...

Re: West of the GTA
I'm in Oakville and like the Pepperwood in Burlington, but don't know really any other place between Mississauga and Burlington other than perhaps the West 50. Well it might be redundant then, :) but I'll definitely recommend WEST 50 http://www.hiprestaurants.com/west50/mainmenu.html It's tucked aw...

Looks like you're right. Here's info from Unibroue's site: http://www.unibroue.com/beer101/date.cfm How to find and understand the bottling date The beers we produce undergo a secondary fermentation in the bottle and in general have an extremely long shelf life that varies between beer styles. For e...

We've actually pitched FRAOCH to the LCBO as a single and are awaiting word from them. If they opt not to purchase it as a General Listing, we have every intention of bringing it in on Consigment?Private Order along with a couple of other of their products. One way or the other, FRAOCH will be avai...
