Agreed, the Malheur is tasting alright. Mine cost $2.35 and required a picture from my phone to prove I didn't open a six pack and a visit to the manager's office before I could buy it.

Why would the lcbo have malheur? Private order? Weston gets the private orders that go unclaimed. They just didn't have anything good that came their way for a long time. But whenever they get something, the prices are usually outstanding. The prices are usually good but the beer is almost always o...

I picked up a bottle of The Three Brewers Triple from Crossroads clearance this week. Since I only saw the one bottle I didn't bother to post about it. I also got a bottle of Tequila from the clearance section. Usually there is nothing there beer wise but sometimes you get a treat. I had no idea Thr...

I thought that would be the way to do it but it would be nice to know before I go to the store.

If it is $25 then I am off to my local LCBO but if it were $200 then I might be making a trip to Summerhill with a shopping list.

I was handed a LCBO gift card this morning. There is no amount marked on it. Does anyone know if there is a way to determine its value or do I have to check at the store before I start shopping?

Not sure where else to post this... Just picked up a St Ambroise 2011-2013 Vintage Ale pack. I didn't get one at Christmas so I am glad I found them. $15.95, a little less than when first release. I got them at Crossroads LCBO. They were part of an end display not, in the clearance section ( where y...

People should vote for the party that most closely resembles their political beliefs, unless that party happens to be the Liberals? If a person's political beliefs are so warped and weak as to excuse billions upon billions upon billions of dollars worth of scandals, criminal activity, the subvertin...

I would like more of them! And a break on the "sin tax" would be nice too. I used to really enjoy Stuart's Session Ale when it was around and have been digging the Limp Puppet this year. I was thinking that the next time I but beer with a theme in mind that it will be low strength, high fl...

Strategic voting got us in this mess. I'd far prefer to vote for what I agree with, damn the consequences. Personally, I'm not ready to support the status quo of corruption and incompetence, but neither am I ready to support a return to the Harris years of blind ideology and incompetence, and the t...

The Greens have great policies but are totally clueless how to run an election campaign. In fairness, Hudak and his merry men aren't exactly master campaigners either. Their ability to drive themselves into a brick wall given the best possible political scenario is simply astounding. Too true. Howe...

but that's why the Green party's still the Green party. they end up halfway between the NDP and the Rhinocerous party. IF they ever took elections seriously and IF they only fielded quality candidates and IF they actually had media attention with a proper platform and taught that platform to their ...

Beats not voting at all, which is what most eligible voters did last time. Also what the Liberals are counting on by having a very short campaign and a summer vote. They are lousy at governing but excellent at running elections. The notion that we have only two real options and voting for anyone but...

some interesting news as of late: Just some thought if you plan on deciding your vote based on/partially based on LCBO/Beer Store/AGCO laws. you can vote for status quo (Liberals), the faint possibility of changes and the hope that a premier who lives in wine country will be pressured by his consti...
