One way to read that as implying that they should get stuff from suppliers dirt cheap, and mark it up even more to maintain the retail price. I think that's the only way to read that... Yes, but as a taxpayer, we should want them to do that. We wouldn't pay anymore but they province gets more money...

And since you will be up in that area, pop into The Golden Buddha restaurant (near 3 Mile). Sit in the lounge side, order a massive egg roll and 'The Buddha' cocktail (top secret recipe). If you are driving, stop at 1 Buddha. If you aren't driving, stop at 2 Buddha's! Trust me.. Golden Buddha Restau...

I highly recommend Jack's BBQ. Located right downtown on Broadway (where every other shop specializes in cowboy boots. Literally). I had pulled pork, baked beans, mac & cheese and cornbread washed down with: New Belgium Fat Tire (bottle) By all accounts, Flying Saucer is the beer destination in ...

Re: How about it, Trafalgar? Any intentionally sour ales for

Belgian and cannondale, you've given me some inspiration in selecting the correct beer for a carbonnade flamade. I've never used the 'traditional' Flemish Sour Brown Ales (eg. the 'Flamande' beer) but it's supposed to be ideal with its combo of sweet / acid flavors. They do call it the Burgundy of ...

Thanks! I will definitely try this out. I usually put bourbon in my BBQ sauce when I make it, but never thought of putting coffee in before. I love what bourbon does to BBQ sauce. I don't know too much about the drink itself (other than enjoying a good mint julep) but since it looks like I'll be bu...

Mike, whatever you do, promise you will go to Slows. Try to go during a slow time of day to reduce your wait time. But even if there is a wait, wait it out. Opt for a seat at the bar if that will reduce your wait too. Once you tuck into your ribs (opt for the baby backs), pulled pork, mac & chee...

Well the batch is in the fermenter, and unless I read my hydrometer incorrectly (which there is a good chance of) I somehow got an SG of 1.800. I only used 3.5lbs of the liquid malt extract and 2.5 pounds of granulated cane sugar. Unfortunately we could not get dry extract in time and ended up usin...

I wired up a dual stage ranco a while back and im very happy with it so far. I'd strongly recommend to anyone that they invest in a S/S thermowell. I played around with having th eprobe in the air, taped to the carboy and in the carboy. The freezer/heater kicked on far less frequently with the probe...
