How much to start up?

How much roughly would it cost to start up a small hombrew operation?

Including a good how-to book, ingredients, bottles, and a decent equipment setup?

Steam Whistle makes a great pilsner, but it's not even close to the best brewery in Toronto.

Mill Street for the win!

That's possible, but it would most likely fall on deaf ears in this country.

After two bottles tonight I have to say that the brew is pretty decent. Not the typical hop monster I enjoy, but very nice.

Definitely agreed. I already avoid The Beer Store like the plague, I can only assume I'll be doing the same in the future with the LCBO.

I'd much rather just save up and make a daytrip across the border.

I did too, but I really like it now as a whole package. I totally get it, really solid.
Can't wait to try it.

I didn't mind the O'hara's, but I didn't find it to be anything special.

Still I'm more than open to trying the new Sgt. Major. Maybe Perry will start brewing the Admiral Perry more regularly. 8)

After reading this post I'm about to head downtown and see if my pathetic-at-best local LCBO has it in stock. I can think of a hundred things I'd rather drink than Wychwood brews, but I can also think 100 things I'd take Wychwood stuff over any day. EDIT: So as expected, my pathetic LCBO had none of...

All that "aluminum can preferred" shit made me sad. Especially when reading about the Spirit and Wine Coolers: Unique, trendy, unconventional formats. Environmentally friendly packaging preferred. Products that capitalize on hot trends. It was definitely a painful read. Every day I get cl...

Just called them up today and someone answered the phone, so they must be re-opened. Funny story though, the guy I talked to said they are only getting the Oaked Bastard 3 Litre bottles, but the Stone press release says that Oaked Bastard will only be in the new 12 oz bottle 6 packs this year. So no...

Do you know which Innis & Gunn L.E. it's going to be? I would assume the 2006 IPA, but you never know... The list that I got didn't specify any dates, but I'm guessing that both the Innis & Gunn and Fuller's (if it ever gets here) will be the 2006 editions. Slightly OT, but I found the foll...
