Re: BCBS 2015

referring to the vanilla rye lcbo thing, eh? at first i read that related to premier and thought that seemed even nuttier for two beers.

anyway, looks like consumers will have it at most locations "starting" today, whatever that means. 3 pp limit.

Re: BCBS 2015

Premier posted that you can buy 2 bottles per person and that they are getting zero variants. I'm disappointed, i was hoping that with the move to larger bottles on the regular ans smaller on the hard to get variants that there would be a lot more available. Oh well, definitely passing on it this ye...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

Well, if bellwoods releases Boyd that too, I think I'll take the day off work and likely skip bcbs hunting in buffalo.

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

honestly, a discussion on the mysteries of beer pricing in general deserves its own thread instead of derailing a bellwoods release thread on it. i agree that bellwoods day-to-day offerings are overpriced, but their barrel aged stuff is right in line with industry averages. sure, hill farmstead has ...

Re: Buffalo NY - what to see and explore?

I'm going to be in Niagara Falls, NY in a few weeks. I know this is a Buffalo thread, but anything decent for stores/bars on the shitty side of the Falls? just the consumers on niagara falls blvd, but they are really hit or miss as far as freshness and seasonal stock goes. the brickyard pub in lewi...

ISO: Someone near Bellwoods FT: Jester King

Throwing this out there to see if anyone that lives near bellwoods and isn't maxing out their allotment during the next couple releases wants to grab me some. I'm looking for 6 lambda and 4-6 3 minutes to midnight (depending on what the limits are for this one). i'll pay you back for the beers obvio...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

I just need more skeleton key. Drank my last bottle last week and was pretty bummed when it was gone with no hints at a future release. I could use more lambda too!

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

I don't get the complaints about selling stuff during 9-5 working hours, when it comes down to these guys not having a grasp on how to tweak bottle limits to make a release last and get into more peoples hands. Moving from a standard 8 to 4 was a step in the right direction, but it doesn't make sens...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

That Porter sounds pretty interesting. But let me guess, it must be some special barrel aged concoction, so we must overpay by about $3/bottle. Pretty much. actually, $8 for a barrel aged porter is pretty solid if you ask me. considering no ones bats an eye at bellwoods' $13 500ml barrel aged offer...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

honestly, saying a brewery's beer is average in ontario is the same thing as saying it sucks, because the average beer put out by the hundreds of middling OCBers does in fact suck. we are a long way from the point where we can say that the average beer produced by OCBers is "good." I'm th...

Re: Jester King in T.O.

what a great line up they are bringing. I wonder if that's the new batch of fen tao that is set for release any week. you guys are in for a real treat if you haven't had any jester king before. i'm lucky enough to have a friend in austin that sends me their beer regularly and i honestly have not had...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

so Triple Bogey, a contract brewery that was created to sell beer to golf clubhouses, has a beer named after a curling call? yes, they are going after the curling club market in the winter months i hope it's the same shitty beer in a different can...i would actually applaud them for full on selling...

Re: Boston

Got back from a nice 4 day trip to Boston and didn't really do too many beer-related things as I was with the missus and this was a surprise trip for her. But I did check out Trillium and this place blows the doors off the hype and is a full on legit top 5 ipa brewery for me. They were releasing a n...
