Mike, as one of the "guys behind the counter" I can tell you that for some reason, macro drinkers who occasionally try something else, will often pick up those Trafalgar offerings. And I notice they also buy a lot of 666. Perhaps the packaging is appealing? You mean the 3 minute Microsoft...

Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre and Sierra Nevada Kellerweis Hefeweizen. Also grabbed a bottle of SN 30th Anniversary Impy Stout to split with the London folks when I get back! :D

I'm curious to know - who comprises the Trafalgar 'target market'? The brewery has the worst possible reputation among beer enthusiasts and, as far as I can tell, very few macro drinkers have heard of them. So how do they sell their beers? Who do they sell them to?

Tell (the owner) how much you appreciate what (Chancey's is) doing with the beer, and also let him know that if the beer goes, so does your business. This is exactly what I intend to do. Chancey's is not just a beer gem in London, it's a destination in Ontario. The article is scarily out of touch w...

Yep. Derek pointed it out on another forum. They have a massive tap list, 20 minutes from the airport, so I'll probably head there.

Toronto: good beer around the airport?

Gonna be in Toronto tonight before heading down south for a week. I'm staying at the airport hotel and wondering if there's any nearby places that serve good (i.e. craft) beer. Put another way, what is the closest 'good/craft beer' place to the airport? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Big Rock Light Lime

In keeping with The Beer Store's continuous addition of light or flavoured (or both) blond lagers to its product selection, Big Rock Light Lime is now available at TBS: http://www.thebeerstore.ca/Beers/branddetails.asp?id=2221 http://www.marketwire.com/library/20090618-618br_can800.jpg This exciting...

Hey Mike. They did used to make a porter called Iron Duke Porter. It was available in the early 2000's I think. Yes, I remember seeing the empty bottle at C'est What. But why not take a second kick at the can (no pun intended)? Right now we only have access to Fuller's, Scotch Irish (sometimes infe...

Three cheers for light and subdued! Christ... LOL! This is probably the most disappointing announcement I've heard all year. Wellington has always conveyed itself as an authentic, British-style brewery, and the beers they make - English Strong Ale, Bitter, EPA - validate that image. As the first po...

Anybody know why this has shipped to every city in Ontario except London? Somehow Ingersoll and Windsor have gotten it before us. Did we piss off the Molson rep or something?
