Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

I agree with Greg's take on last year's version. I finished the bottle, but won't be trying this year's batch. I found it to to be one of those "tried-it-to-say-I've-had-it" beers.

There's a fair bit of shopping along Transit Road near the Consumers and Pizza Plant. The Eastern Hills Mall and a lot of big boxes are along Transit, so she should find something to her liking. The Buffalo Brew Pub is a little farther south at the corner of Main and Transit and is worth stopping by...

Raiding Blue Boxes is completely legal. Gratis, tax-free income... figure it out, people filling their trucks regularly are exceeding some of our weekly incomes. I'm not sure this is true. I seem to recall this was an issue several years ago when one of the recycled materials collected was at a hig...

I'm not sure that's a fair assumption to make. This has been floated around for a few months now. I've seen lots of restaurants put out wine bottles and non-returnable import beer bottles with their garbage/recycling. Maybe we've just got an entrepreneur who has found a new niche market and has been...

As a general rule, though - any cans in 4 or 6 "packs" that are held together with the plastic rings can usually be removed and purchased as a single. Same with bottles in open style 6 packs. In a lot of cases, I think this depends on the store. In my experience, the worst is the Crossroa...

If you're heading to Buffalo, it's also worth checking out a Consumer's Beverage Centre. It's a fairly large chain that has a decent selection of US micros and imports. The prices are comparable to Premier, and IIRC, in some cases, a little better. I got a good selection of stouts and porters last t...

Just this week I was wondering when it would be available because I missed out on last year's batch. It's like Christmas come early. Count me in for a case.
