Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). But fronting a band -- which is fundamentally a promotional initiative of your brewery -- to do charitable work leaves a bad taste in many mouths.
Pun intended, I hope...

Yeah, you rarely go to Smokeless for a bottle of anything...it's really what's on tap that's interesting. I stopped going there myself, but I remember back in the day they used to offer some relatively obscure beers (had some great Harviestoun stuff before), but most of their offerings -- like Beerb...

Please let us know when these will be available on store shelves (and if you want to give me a head start for whatever reason, I'd appreciate it)!

Also, I haven't seen that Baron Noir Cider stuff anywhere, which was recommended. Did it sell out? Say it ain't so...

I have to say, I'm extremely pleased with the Titan IPA. A good, smooth, strong summer beer with tons of fresh hops in the nose.

The Oak Aged Yeti was good, but perhaps a bit of overkill. Nevertheless, we'll see what happens to them after a few years of cellaring.

Either way, a damn good call.

There's a ton of microbrewers out there, and I'm sure we can find a good one that will satisfy everyone.

Let's keep up the good fight...especially now that the LCBO, in their infinite idiocy, made the unconscionable decision not to list the 60 Minute full-time. Bastards.

I'm with you on the Staropramen front, although when I used to drink it day in, day out in Europe, I found it tasted much cleaner and fresher. Ah, well.

Speaking of Mill St., I met one of the co-owners at the Summerhill event and he says there's a double IPA in the works. If this becomes widely available throughout the province, it could very well be a revolutionary progression. Here's hoping it's good...!

I went today, and was very impressed at how they organized this. You get eight samples of local brews, at no cost whatsoever, and they created a chilled environment on the patio. The food samples were also pretty sweet (jalapeno cornbread, jerk chicken on plantain chips, etc). Most of the beers are ...

How sweet it is.

I didn't get a call, but a fax. Strangely, it didn't say where to pick it up. I assume it's 33 Freeland.

BTW, if anyone wants to recover some money (on anything other than the Titan or the Oak Aged Yeti), I'd be happy to buy some excess bottles off you.

Cheers!

I always thought there was something fishy about those Mexican Viennas. To me, Modelo was a drain pour, but perhaps I'll give it another shot someday.

Could I cellar this beer? It's pretty low alcohol, there's not particularly a lot of hops, but I would like to mature it for a spell. I'm not sure my cellar is quite dank enough to protect this particular brew for time immemorial. Do you suppose keeping it in the fridge for a year or so would be pru...

Yeah, my local Beer Store had no such thing. I'd be loathe to make such a trek again, and frankly I'm sick of calling them.

If anyone can tell me, definitively, where I can buy one of those sampler packs, I'd be eternally grateful. Well, not eternally, just until the hangover wears off.

I wonder if importing and consequently selling out of the Dogfish 60 Min was worthwhile for them, monetarily speaking. Personally, I think they sold it too cheap. I would have easily paid three bucks or more for a bottle of this liquid gold. I have a friend who works for the LCBO corporate sector. H...

I found it far superior to the KLB wheat, and while comparable to Amsterdam, a much more satisfying beer.

It's based on a Belgian sour ale, which puts it in a different category altogether. Definitely one of the best brews the LC has imported in some time.
