Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

That's so funny. Greg you should work for Comcast! I'm amused by his/her comments on the service. While I've had good service at the Boiler House, I'm convinced Pure Spirits only hire the most inexperienced and undedicated people they can find. I have had terrible service there several times. I even...

Let's say for argument's sake that the LCBO did a fantastic job. Stocked everything we could imagine, priced fairly and reasonably, had decent extended hours, chilled craft beer, supported Canadian producers at least as much as foreign - if not more, and took back their own empties. How many people ...

I second the compliments on Tree beers. Whenever I'm on the West Coast I seek them out. Very good stuff.

This would also be a great place to put any announcements you get from distant brewers. While a press release local to say, Portland, might not mean much to us here, it might be good to share with someone travelling there.

[quote="Jan Primus Yeah, I just got hassled too. TBS should really get their shit together, they are telling their employees not to accept bottles labled in "oz's". I got like 3 cases of ST empties, they say they can't give me a refund for...I show them the sticker and explain the who...

As I understand it, the BS supplies the LCBO. I can't see them doing anything without a profit motive.

Dalton makes sure his son has a summer job. :-?

When the district first opened, I thought, here is a great business and arts incubator. The most successful result has been Mill St. and maybe Balzacs. I think it's great there is a place that can launch quality micro businesses into quality mid-macro businesses. It's what turns me on about the neig...

The whole issue of pouring rights, whether at events or in bars, irritates me big time. Especially when it leads to exclusivity, I mean lack of choice. It's one thing for a marketing department to gain visibility by sponsoring events or buying banner space, but it speaks of corporate insecurity when...

I have received a number of private messages encouraging me not to permanently leave the bartowel, and as a result I have decided to stick around. In the future I will not get so emotionally involved, and I will limit my LCBO defence posts as most people here find them to be insane. That's great! I...

Recent Coors ad

I just noticed a new Coors ad about colour changing labels. I guess their customers now need to know when it tastes like cold. :D

Well here's another one for you. I went to drop off some ST and Rogue empties at my local BS and got a big hassle about there being no deposit on them. Trying to convince them that they came from the LCBO went nowhere. I finally got a "you're guilty but we will take them this time" respons...

I just picked up a couple sixes od ST without twist-offs or stickers. No price reduction though.

You'd think for the premium price they would at least put 'em in the cooler!
