Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Pursuant to an earlier comment: I bought a 4-pack of KBS at Queen and Coxwell earlier today and the girl rang it up as $7.95. I could have absconded with all four for that price, but the boyscout in me thought otherwise and I let her know the folly of her ways...

Re: Cleveland and surrounding area

Just bumping up this thread as a few of us are heading down for a Raps game.

Anyone been lately to Cleveland? Any and all recommendations, especially for bottle shops, are greatly appreciated.

Re: New non-LCBO/TBS beer releases

It's for sale - already picked some up. Crazy they wouldn't sell it to you when you got there...

Now back tomorrow for W&W.

I drove down today - had been meaning to do a run for a while so ended up coordinating it with the KBS release. I got to Premier at 2:15 and was about 15 people back. But by 3:00 the line extended well into the wine/liquor side of the store. Not sure if everyone in line was successful in getting a 4...

Bit of a coincidence: I just discovered the Boulevardier at Momofuku (listed as "bourbon, vermouth, campari, aperol, maraschino") and served on draught. Apparently it had been in the barrel for a week or so. Best mixed drink I've ever slugged back.

So this was just canned this morning. Had dropped by GL to pick up a growler but instead came home with a bunch of these instead.

Just got back from Queens Quay and they've got all of 'em, including the Breakfast Stout. They were just in the process of putting them out.

To my fellow Toronto eastenders: Queen and Coxwell has Deus plus a bunch of the holiday items including the St. Ambroise RIS. The Deus is tucked away from the beer section, though - on the other side of the store where the coolers/ciders are stocked, amidst the holiday stuff. There was also a Black ...

ISO: Stone Enjoy By FT: some stuff

Hi all, Premier sold out of Enjoy By 09.13.13 the other day and I had really hoped to zip over and grab a few but no such luck. Anyone in Toronto wish to trade one away? I have few things that might be interesting: this year's Parabola, a 2013 Fifty Fifty Eclipse (can't remember which wax colour at ...

BrewDog Tokyo* - quite hot but quite delicious. This followed a Hardcore IPA which tasted remarkably similar to every Hoptimum I've ever had... I'm currently in the middle of an Amsterdam-Paris-London trip. Beer searches have been somewhat interesting. In Amsterdam I found a great place called De Bi...

At the tail end of a Los Angeles trip and have been doing a little bottle hunting. Tried the DFH 61 yesterday - meh. Also had Mikkeller's Wheat Is The New Hops. I liked it but it came off really unbalanced. Maybe it's just my lack of familiarity with funk. (And on the issue of Brett: I had an Evil T...

Out and about today and was looking for the Nogne Saison. And the LCBO website came through once again: Queen and Coxwell listed 24 - none to be found. But even better: Queens Quay listed 144 in stock. Awesome. Except, again, none to be found. I asked one of the guys and firstly, he had no idea what...
