I'd like to compare what people want from Toronto and what a city less than half the size has to offer.

Local Beer Culture

Are you satisfied with Toronto's beer culture? If not what would help? And/or what would satisfy you?

If I was choosing interesting draught I'd get the fuck out of yawntario. I can't help but think this bickering between beer geeks is just growing frustration with a lack of service. Not enough selection at the LCBO and not enough bars serving a decent selection of beer, and the ones that do charge t...

I'd rather know more about the head brewer than the type of beer they intend to make.

I almost find that hard to believe that they have 58 bottles at yonge and wellesley. I admit it's been a couple years since I've been there, but I remember walking in and out of that store shaking my head at their pathetic beer selection.

This discussion clearly belongs in the "Beer Reviews" thread, but, whatever. Thanks forum cop! You guys need to give the Ghosttown another chance. You cannot take two sips of a beer such as this and then pour it. Definitely not with the limited selection we have in this province. If Stone...

Good to hear. My wife has always said she want'd to try a licorice flavoured stout. Now I just have to make it to an LCBO that carries it and hope they have some left...of course it doesn't look like there's a limited quantity of the beer getting all these positive reviews.

Yes, because of my limited selection, I have bad beer associations with cans. I know they're are more good beers in cans out there, but Red Racer is my first.

Find the best beers you can and tell them if they don't like them then they're not real men. Or hire strippers and tell them that they just appear as soon as you start drinking craft beer. Or tell them they sell them by the bottle so there's no need for cooling vents. If they ask you how can you tel...

I'd suggest the widest variety you can afford. Not just craft beer either. My introduction to craft beer was one I ordered on a whim. It was that flavour that stuck in my head, that nagged at me. It's still nagging me since the brewer stopped production.

Celebrator. Been so focused on trying to find Canadian equivalent to American craft beer I forgot there was a world of beer out there. Duh indeed.
