Just got around to trying this from a sixer I had stashed for a while. It's easy to see why this seasonal has been brewed since the late 80s. Easy drinking, flavorful and unique. Malty, spicey, hoppy, bit of roast and a light dry finish.....me likka varry mucha.

Wish there was more to buy :cry:

I just picked up a few bottles at Weston and 401. Wow big taste with an obscene price tag ($21.95/600ml bottle) . Very much reminiscent of Thomas Hardy's Ale, with that nice soy and plum flavour. I think this should be classified as an old ale rather than barley wine. Either way, its simply a delic...

Sounds like this merger is more a matter of rationalizing liabilities and consolidating credit ratings in a very unstable financing market. Hope the whole mega brewer death star tanks in the abyss of soft markets.

yeah, I looked at the Discovery.ca schedule and it said that it was to air Monday (again) at 10:00pm, then again Tuesday at 11:00am and 4:00pm (an hour and a half ago).
