Try an Orval braise for that by the way.

Believe me Josh, I respect the Star and its writers. But you have to admit that what was trimmed could be construed as one of the more controversial things in the article. Government representatives need to watch out when they accept things from outside corporations. It's gotten them in hot water i...

Got a quick reply from Rob Ferguson. He doesn't know, said they added something in the middle and maybe the editors wanted to keep the word count down. Word count! No way, it's a digital article for god sakes! Someone definitely did not want that out there. (I say in a conspiracy theory voice) :-) ...

Congrats indeed, Jordan. It's always good to have another voice in the mix, especially one as articulate as yours. I'll have to step up my game!

I was also curious about this and the brewery confirmed that all Unibroue beers are brewed in Chambly only. This was April '10 so I presume nothing's changed. Definitely Chambly only. If anything, they'd move their other production outta Chambly to make room for more unibroue there. only about half...

4pm!? C'mon...is this an event for the unemployed? Where is the consideration for the poor 9-5 slaves such as myself? More like an "Upright afternoon". Yes. The event goes from 4 p.m. to 4:01, so you couldn't possibly get there by 6 and still have beer. Wait a minute...that's a sar...

It was Batch #8, brewed in mid '98 according to the HotD website, so sometime after that.

Utopias lottery winners?

Hey kids.
Just curious if anyone's heard from the LCBO that they've won the right to buy a bottle of Sam Adams Utopias. They were going to start selecting winners today, then gettting in touch with them over the next day or two...

Anyway - all of the anecdotal evidence points to a problem with their bottling line as being the most likely culprit for their infections. This wouldn't have affected Kichesippi up until now, as they've been draught only - but now that they're responsible for bottled product as well, here's hoping ...

Best place to buy (non-branded) beer glasses?

Hey folks. I've got a tonne of wonderful branded beer glasses at home -- loads of chalices, pints, hefeweissen glasses, mort subite flutes and the like. But I'm wondering if anyone knows of a particular store for good beer glassware, which isn't necessarily branded. I'm thinking the Bay. Any other s...

WWS is just lame, I don't get the love for it at all. Mephistopholes is so much better. Amen on the WWS. It tastes like cheap, bottom of the barrel port with an added shot of cheap, bottom of the barrel vodka. Granted, I haven't had any of it much older than a year or two, so perhaps that would ton...

In the end I believe the palate is close to what they drank, but I would never say it was beyond any certainty and that is not what I meant. I didn't take offence and welcome all comments. I suspected that was what you meant. Some people might not have realized that though, which is why I was needl...
