Re: Wet Hopped Ales?

That's too bad I missed the Great Lakes version. I had seen a social media post but it never made the online store as far as I could tell. I think Great Lakes needs to dial down the NE IPA love a bit, they've got 4 for sale now and I've had deliveries of others over the summer (Forlorn Unicorn, Used...

Wet Hopped Ales?

We used to get Amsterdam's Autumn Hop Ale and I thought that was great but I don't think that's been produced for a few years now. Are there any wet hopped ales that are coming to the LCBO this fall or do people know of any Toronto based brewers that are planning one this year? I don't think that I'...

Re: Talk or Action?

While I'm happy that the beer store is on the way out, it seems in Toronto that is already the case. East end Toronto stores that have any real estate value/zoning have already been sold, along with their big parking lots, to developers . I'm guessing that once the Beer store lost its monopoly on be...

Re: Barncat Artisan Ales, Cambridge

Finally got out there last weekend. Grabbed a growler of their pilsner to share with my wife and my mother as you do on Mothers day. Delicious unfiltered goodness. Life seems to be pushing me back there in early June, hope to grab a growler of a fresh IPA next time. Nothing ground breaking in this r...

Re: Indie Ale House

Very happy to hear this. One of my favorites and find them to be consistent and they focus on styles that I enjoy. Looking forward to getting there stuff more than 8 or so times a year.

Re: Beer in Grocery Stores

I don't think it's just grocery stores that have an issue. In the few walk in beer stores near me I've often come across Muskoka mix packs that are either overdue or so close to due (2 days out) that you don't want to buy them. I don't know if it is the beer store, a sales rep? etc that is supposed ...

Re: Beer in Grocery Stores

I understand there is a Farmboy Grocery store coming into Leslieville, unlinked page is already on their website. https://www.farmboy.ca/locations/leslieandlakeshore/ and this story: http://www.goodhood.ca/whats-good/farm-boy-grocery-store-organic-fresh-produce-leslie-lake-shore. I've never heard of...

Re: What are you UnCellaring right now?

Just drank a year old Peche Mortel tonight. The heat (which was never that pronounced) has dropped out but so has the currant like fruit I remembered. Tasted quite astringent, with more of a coffee bitterness. I bought a four pack over the summer with a Feb bottling date, the last one I had was just...

Who's selling 355ml cans?

I'm going to big music festival that has a beer exchange in the DR. I want to bring in small calls for variety and ease of packing. Who's packaging in small cans from the Toronto breweries? I know of Left Field and Godspeed. Any others that I'm not remembering?

Is there a list of the beers in the Advent Calendar? I'm too lazy to transcribe from the case.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

I've been really enjoying the Collective Arts IPAs. I would rank them 3, 4, 2 in my preference (didn't see #1). How are they doing this? Is this a different SKU for each version? It would be awesome if more breweries could get some type of seasonal SKU that they could cycle through without the seemi...
