Re: Godspeed Brewery

Re: LCBO Online Exclusives

Hey everyone! Hopefully this post will shake off some of your pre-summer doldrums. I'm happy to announce that Gleemer Imports will be representing Brouwerij Alvinne from Zwevegem, Belgium. Alvinne specializes in two things: a souring yeast blend ("Morpheus") and an extensive barrel progra...

Re: LCBO Online Exclusives

Hah. Well, I'm not here to knock anyone else's mead offerings. But the American meaderies, like Moonlight and Schramms, make a mead that's VERY different from the Ontario offerings. Instead of getting strong fermented honey characters, which can get in the herbal range, you have large fruit blends (...

Ritterguts....that's some original gangsta shit there. This is what a gose is supposed to taste like.

Hope it is reasonably priced like most German beer at the LCBO.

They have a foudre and released a saison that was aged in it. It was good. Not great....but worth a try if you are there anyways.

Re: Cameron's

If you haven't tried the two new BA Barleywines from Camerons you should. Both the Early Bird Breakfast and Where the Buffalo Roam are legit. I did a side by side with Where the Buffalo Roam and DDC Solstice d'Hiver bourbon and there was no doubt.....Where the Buffalo roam was head and shoulders abo...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

lol wow so what are we saying here? Some of you all may not appreciate our Ontario stouts but I have found many that I enjoyed enough to consider a great Ontario stout. Good enough that at the price of KBS I'll be more then happy to sink that money into locals rather then an import. I like the enti...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

Lots of great Ontario stouts I'll continue drinking instead of paying that price. No, there is not "lot's" of great BA Ontario stouts. The decent ones are similar prices. Cafe del Bastardo is $17 per 750ml. GLB Solstice $15 per 650ml. Bellwoods $12 to $13 per 500ml. ....and this beer is i...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Always interesting to hear different perspectives. Personally, I love Peche on nitro; it adds great texture. But I would agree that this is a world class beer in all formats. Which reminds me - Peche Day is next weekend. One of the years, I hope the cognac barrel aged variation finds its way outsid...
