Re: What're you drinking right now?
I guess I'm the only person in the world who didn't like IPA No. 5. I found it to be too sweet with a muddled taste and aroma. Unpleasant mouthfeel, thick and cloying as it warmed. It certainly had a big hit of citra hops, but I found it to be a more is less kind of deal. Maybe this NE IPA thing is...

Nice... list looks promising for sure. Let's see how old those IPAs are though by the time they hit the shelves (and likely on many unrefrigerated shelves; especially the one from New Zealand).

Re: Great Lakes
I maintain that some of the earlier batches of Lake Effect were the best IPAs Great Lakes have ever made. The volatility from batch to batch is pretty extreme. 100% agree. The very first run of lake effect they ever did is hands down my fav IPA from Great Lakes. Yup, it was awesome. Not sure I'd sa...

Re: Great Lakes
So far I've pretty disappointed by Lake Effect this year. Used to me my fave... but that goes to Karma Citra now. 100% agree with you. Not enjoying Lake Effect AT ALL this year. There's something skunky about it, taste and aroma-wise, that wasn't there the previous couple years. On the other hand, ...

So far I've only tried Zodiak (seems it's always on tap whenever I go to King Taps), and it's solid; 3.75 or slightly less for me if I was rating it.
