Hi everyone...quick question... Does anyone know a place where I can order some personalized beer glasses? I'm talking about getting a 'blank' tulip / chalice glass, then providing some company with our desired logo / artwork to get etched / painted on. (However they do it) Think of a Chimay or Duve...

Ahhh, no worries. Enjoyed many good brews, I'm glad you guys managed to get in on the casks though.

So I take it empty casks can be fairly common if heading to Volo on a weekend? Not as easy as replacing an empty keg I suppose, options and quantities are limited.

Stopped by Volo last night and enjoyed some of these sale items. As I do not visit Volo often, there were plenty of deals on beers I haven't had before. I was disapointed overall because upon arriving we discovered that all cask beers were unavailable. Didn't ask why (sold out, cask problems, who kn...

Thanks irishkyle21. So I'm looking at an August 13, 2000 date for the La Fin du Monde then? If I read that system correctly. (First I read 07 as the year, but I knew I bought this before August 07, so I re-read to see just 1 digit for year) OR...maybe it is 1980, he he. Any way to differentiate deca...

I'll admit I didn't follow the name change very closely, so I wondered what happened to Wunder Weisse earleir this year. When I found out about True North I thought maybe it was a different company....a bit odd with the different branding name. I had the Wunder Weiss on tap the summer before last, a...

I tend to store all my McDonalds Happy Cups in boxes these days, until I get a nice bar area set up. If you've got some lying around...drop me a line. Thanks!

I've got some Unibroue bottles that have aged soem years - Fringante, Terrible, Quelque Chose and La Fin du Monde. They've all got clear dates on them except my one bottle of Fin du Monde. (i.e. Terrible is from May 2004) So...how the heck do I tell how old the Fin Du Monde is? There is a cryptic al...

I also have to disagree with the 20-somthings staying away in droves comment. As someone who recently entered the 30's, I've been enjoying good beers for the past 6 years or so. Back in my early 20s days (university) I don't recall anyone I know drinking more expensive, non-conforming brews. If I or...

Thanks Al & Inertiaboy. I'm planning to head to NY state for the May long weekend for a camping trip, if weather permits. Been looking around Allegany State Park. Anyone have tips? I figure I'd pick up some good brews on the way down through Buffalo area and then may be have a day trip from Alle...

THanks Derek...I suppose *looking* at the funky wooden stand is as good as it gets. Haven't been to Smokeless in over a year...but heading over next week, can't wait!

Do any places serve the Kwak with that special glass and wood stand? That would make a fun Xmas gift pack.

As a marketer and a bee drinker I like the name for multiple reasons. For something 'seasonal' that should dissapear before most of us can try it, such names are perfect. A definite conversation starter. I'd ague that if it did make it onto shelves you'd get more than enough curious people trying it...

Update on The Charlotte Room. They now have Blanche de Chambly and Maudite on tap, just got Maudite in. The Maudite tap is apparently going to change every couple months with other Unibroue beers.
They also have Sapporo on tap now...their tap line up is largely dominated by Sleeman-related brews.

MMmmm. Trois Pistoles on tap would be tasty.
Blanche de Chambly is on tap at the Charlotte Room. Nice spot for some pool and beers downtown, but nothing else beer-tempting really.

First Beer for 2008?

Hey folks, So I've been on a beer hiatus since October....taking a couple months off. Crazy I know! Been on a bit of a health binge at probably the worst time of the year. No major reason...just needed to slow things down, I'm an all or nothing type guy. Now, I've been buying and storing all these n...
