BCS finally made it to Hamilton, bought 12 with a bb of Oct 2012. I did notice the metallic aftertaste and agree it needs to sit. It will be interesting if everyone keeps track of their own aging and tasting to see what the optimal time frame is. Have to buy more as 12 I mean 11 will nver last to Oc...

So when you say cool room temperature is that about 15C? My wine cooler runs about 8C, that's probably too cold?

Looking forward to BCS as soon as more than 3 LCBO outlets carry it.

As far as freshness goes my rule of thumb is, "If there is dust on the bottle in the store then it is too late!"

Tried some Anchor Steam the other day with a best before date of 08 2011, is that possible?

I remember splurging in the 70's and going downtown T.O. and drinking
Heineken and thinking that this stuff is terrible. Then I went to Florida and went into a place that had it on tap and wow what a difference. The stuff in T.O. was probably so old it came by boat!

Matt7215 probably ran into a seasonal employee. In my area you travel around the stores to get what you want and I have never had a problem. Many are quite knowledgable and even chatty. I have never had one say, as they do at the big box stores, "If we had any they would be over there"!

I've been off wine lately as Ive got a lot of beer to drink, but recently I had the new Fuzion ALta Malbec, which is LCBO exclusive for one year, and is general list at $9.95. It is really nice for the price point, and the main difference between this one and the regular Fuzion, besides the fact th...

It was assigned a number and was on order then suddenly it was deleted from the system. I was told that whoever had the rights for Samuel Adams in Canada or Ontario decided not to bring it in.
