Are Porters and Stouts starting to see less production as spring approaches??
I've been to a couple of LCBO's and it seems Stouts and Porters are slim picks, nothing on the shelf's except the imported stuff from Europe.

Re: Mill St Brewery - Vanilla Porter
it was my first porter, i liked it, but had nothing to compare it to.Not my fave...find it artificial tasting...and cloying . Prefer Bellwoods Lost River and Clifford porters...
Going to take your suggestion and buy the two listed above
Thanks

Re: Sediment
i haven't had many beers with sediment, maybe a couple.
There is nothing wrong with drinking the sediment, however, I have chosen not to.
I put a paper coffee filter over my glass and pour the beer into the filter, clean glass of beer with no sediment.

Re: Nickel Brook Brewing
Just tried their Bolshevik Bastard Imperial Stout, Yummies!!!!!!!! Apperance: It pours thick, velvet black just like oil from a lawnmower, beautiful nutty brown head, just the way it’s suppose to be. Aroma: sweet mild aromas of toffee, vanilla, hint of biscuit Taste: Smoky, mild bitter mocha coffee,...

Re: Redline Brewhouse - Barrie, ON
Last night I had the Clutch, really enjoy it. Appearance: Clean bright white 1 finger head, pale orange color reminds me a bit of orange/mango/pineapple fruit juice, very hazy, unfiltered beer. Aroma: There is nothing better in a beer when it starts off with a really nice appealing aroma, Peach, lem...

Re: Flying Monkeys - Smashbomb atomic IPA
Compared to some of the IPA's out there this was pretty mild, not punchy as I though it was going to be.
It wasn't a bad IPA, but not what you would expect from an IPA.
I would recommend this IPA for the new craft beer drinkers, seasoned IPA drinkers will be a bit disappointed.
