Beer Weekend - A slew of articles in the papers...

Both The Star (and related papers) and The Globe have a bunch of beer articles this weekend. Sorry, I don't have links to the articles - only the full articles themselves. I'll post a few of them in one thread. If posting articles goes against any board rule (I looked and didn't find any), then plea...

Looking good!

Tankhouse Cask!! If it makes a great beer even greater (a la Black Oak Pale Ale Cask) then I will be in heaven.

Good to hear! But is that June or July (both appear in the above listing)? Hopefully both. :) But checking the calendar, the 15th and 16th fall on the weekend in July. Also, I have to say I'm happy with the change in food idea. I never got too excited with the pork offerings. (Perhaps the beer gets ...

So, is there no permanent solution to this problem (other than the workaround?)

(oh the irony, I searched for the word "forbidden" to find this thread, but then clicking on the thread link didn't work of course! :) )

Oh, are all the cask versions of Black Oak Pale Ale considered to be of the "Hop Bomb" variety?

I thought that was one on my "still have to try" list. :P

Keep up the great work, and please try to keep C'est What well stocked with the Pale Ale Cask!! :D

I've tried this one twice now, and found myself a bit disappointed with it. I think I was expecting a bit more based on the name. However I must state that both times this beer was tasted immediately after drinking Black Oak Cask, and I'm not sure there's any beer that can stand up to that comparison!

I was back at C'est What again last night and tried this beer again.

Oh. Oh my! (again!)

This beer is an absolute delight!

It sounds like it must be doing well, because it has been sold out on occasion when I've been in the past, and apparently it was gone on Thursday night as well.

Dispute between Steam Whistle and Ontario Craft Brewers?

I read something in a recent edition of the Great Lakes Brewing News that Cameron Heaps (I think) of Steam Whistle stepped down as president of the Ontario Craft Brewers Association due to some kind of dispute about brewing methods. It piqued my curiosity. Does anyone know what this is about?
