I had a Great Lakes Pumpkin Ale around New Years and learned after that it was from 2011. I was pleasantly surprised at just how well it held up. It had spent the entire year in a fridge. The pumpkin itself was a bit faded but the spices were not.

Had a couple pints of Barley Days Working Man's Stout from the cask at the Victory Cafe. Absolutely fantastic!

Tried a sample of Spearhead's Belgian Stout after the first pint but much preferred the Barley Days and ordered another.

I made it to the Rhino last night for the first time. Had a fantastic pint of cask Smashbomb. It was so good I picked up six more bottles on my way home.

U brews aren't allowed in Alberta either. I just assumed that it was an old law that would get fixed eventually. It is disturbing to see more places going backwards rather than moving forwards!
