Peter, I think this beer is great. I am curious about the 160 IBUs. Can you indicate how many pounds of leaf hops per 36 Imperial gallons of beer that is? Strong ales in the 1800's might have used 5-7 lbs per barrel, perhaps more in some cases. Of course, alpha acid content might have been lower th...

Hey Guys, Thanks for the comments on batch #1 of SuperCollider. The beer is a bit of an anomaly. We had the abv tested before packaging and it was 12.4 % (we calculated it at 12.3%). When it came back from the lab after filtering and packaging the abv was 10.5. WTF. We finally figured out the source...

Perhaps it's just a matter of them changing their brand to be in line with the American style of brewing. It strikes me as disingenuous. Are they trying to craft good beer? It just appears to be a company recognizing an under served market and trying to cater to it. And because of the lack of compe...

Had this again side by side with a smashbomb. Smashbomb truly is the best ipa in ontario ever. Puts anything else to shame. Loving it. Be better if they didn't lower it to 6%. kinda weak, good taste though. This thing needs it 7% back imo. Yeah, we see your point (we lowered it after the very first...

Re: 4 Bonus Airmiles on Hoptical Illusion
Like the title says! Nice time to load up for the rest of the summer if you collect airmiles and drink Flying Monkeys and your LCBOs actually have consistent stock. I noticed the 4 miles too when I was buying it at the LCBO to take to a BBQ (because like idiots we shipped all of our stock to the LC...

I think those bottles have also been sitting in a warehouse for about a month, which could explain the muted citrus. I actually had a bottle last weekend that was part of a case I'd picked up on Canada Day weekend, and I found the citrus to be less evident than when I first picked them up. Bottling...

Oh the large Hadron Collider...it really is a testament to mankind's pursuit of knowledge. I think its awesome to have a beer be inspired by it. Peter, you really should incorporate that into your zany packaging. That would truly be epic ;) It is funny but we looked ata few of those pictures for ar...

Is this beer endorsed by Radiohead? While I love Radiohead, it wasn't the inspiration. A few months ago I was reading an article about a supercollider in France and thought it would be a cool name for a beer.....there you go. Is this part of the next LCBO brewery feature (September?) that is suppos...

SuperCollider DIPA 12.4%ABV 160IBUs: coming to an LCBO theatre near you! Is this beer endorsed by Radiohead? While I love Radiohead / supercollider, it wasn't the inspiration for the beer. It will likely be released on tap to 5 or 6 micro-supportive restaurants the day it is released to the LCBO (SR approval the label last week).ErkLR wrote:Nope, never got out to that. :SteelbackGuy wrote:But you tried it at the Meet and Greet, right?ErkLR wrote: Gah, sadly that is not local to London.
