Re: Saturation? Maverick Brewing
One plus side to all these breweries opening up is it should give talented brewers more avenues to explore and make more creative beers. Most of these new joints are opening up without head brewers. I don't know, but I strongly suspect that the market for talented brewers who can run production bre...

Re: Barncat Artisan Ales, Cambridge
Save some Pulp for me!! It's going quick. Pretty good sized line right at 5. At the homebrew hangout event on Wednesday at Arabella Park, the first 30L keg blew in 28 minutes. They got less than 1 pour the next day. I'm so incredibly happy that I'm so close to the brewery. You Toronto folks are rea...

Maybe Kyle can brew that at HHOE. The Nightman Cometh was also great, and that was Jeremy's from Barncat.Belgian wrote:Teichert Smoked Porter was kind of a one-off. Haven't seen it in five years maybe?
I believe both won a chance to brew their beer at Amsterdam.

Re: LCBO Online Exclusives
I really hate that the only payment method allowed is credit on the LCBO website.
I've tried using my Visa Debit, but to no avail. It's the only website that doesn't accept my card.

Re: Bellwoods Brewery
I was about to post something, but decided to google to fact check, and well, forgot what I was about to write other than, how much more explanation does one need.
*Edit: I only googled this beer, so not sure if others have as much info on them, and don't really care enough to look.

Re: Bellwoods Brewery
All this bickering about Bellwoods pricing, and I'm just happy that I can get it on tap in Kitchener now.
And for those interested, I had a Jutsu and Jelly King yday, prices were $7ish and $6ish, respectively for 16oz pours. Also had Folly Praxis, that was about $7.50/16oz.

Re: Arabella Park Beer Bar - Kitchener
Awesome place! Looking forward to what they do. Especially with the news that Bellwoods wants to distribute beer to "not-Toronto" and Arabella is on that list. From what I was told, Bellwoods don't want their beers in other Toronto bars too much to compete with, so they're sending beer out...

Re: Bent Elbow, Kitchener
So very excited about [Arabella]. Their pics on FB/Twitter look great. One great thing about the KW area right now, pretty much all non-chain restaurants that have opened within the last 2 or so years have really put a focus on local craft beers. That being said, I still find myself only going to t...

If anyone had Cat Deactivator (Barley Wine) at Cask Days, it is now available for a 1L growler fill, and as great as it was on cask, this is so much better. Saving my 1L for tomorrow, unless the Raptors lead me to get wrecked tonight. The sample I had was fucking awesome. 10.9% and so dangerously ea...
