...maybe Keith's was put at a disadvantage with the 'specialty' brew? Or maybe it is just the real geeks that participate.

How did I learn about his brewery? My mother sent me a newspaper clipping in the mail! (That's SERIOUSLY old school).

It will be sad to see Red Racer loose to Keith's.

Huh, I didn't even see the brackets before I posted that!

From Central City,
Look what we have coming to an LCBO near you. Yes, we are proud to announce we will have our Red Racer ISA in 473ml cans in Ontario from April.
As far as ISA's go, it's not bad. Good camping beer!

Sorry, now I've confused the issue. It's the Guinness Extra Stout that's brewed by Labatt in Ontario (it's not Export). Elsewhere there's the Foreign Extra Stout, which is 7.5% and considerably better. I've never actually had the Special Export Stout from Belgium (8%), which is ranked a bit higher s...

Well, they do already have the Export stout here... But I'll decline to comment on the intelligence of their consumers. 8)

Well said Gary!

They're the original macro... I haven't had the FES for a while, but it use to be really good. Otherwise, there a far better options. I use to order a draught every year or so, whenever there were few options, but don't even remember the last time I resorted to that.

They are a larger/regional brewer, usually filtered, probably pasteurized, but decent. I haven't tried this one, but I presume it isn't filtered? I like the 1516, there just aren't enough craft lagers. I think they launched with that to try to take some market from the macros, but quickly realized t...

For Toronto, it is a few years too late. They might've grabbed more market share if it arrived right after the Volo tap takeover, but times are definitely changing. Outside Toronto, I still think they have a real chance. If chains pick it up and deliver it to the middle of nowhere, people will drink...

Yeah, Nash left just before Christmas. They just put his Wreckoning RIS on though... that alone is worth making the stop!
