Re: What're you drinking right now?

Very strange. I just opened a Collective Arts IPA 5. Instead of hazy golden yellow, it's dirty water brown. I'd post a pic if I new how here. Any comments on this?

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Man oh man I am just slamming down this CA IPA No 5. One of the best Ontario IPA's I've had.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Collective Arts IPA No 5, which I didn't realize until I got home is actually a DIPA. Anyway, beautiful, hazy golden yellow, a great looking beer. Wonderful nose and the unmistakable presence of citra, which I believe is my favorite hop. I am really growing to love this brewery. My only complaint, $...

Re: LCBO Spring 2018 Craft Beer Release

Does look like a good release, although the $18.65 price point on the A La Fut offering seems a little severe.

For anyone interested, here's a little more detail on the breweries I mentioned in my previous post. From the breweries I had the following beers: 8 Wired-Saison Sauvin, Tall Poppy, Hippy Berliner, Hopwired, and iStout. Epic-Hop Zombie, Mayhem, and Lupulingus. Flying Dog-Bloodline Blood Orange Ale, ...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Oscar Blues Ten Fidy, which finally made its way to my local here in Belleville. I really like this, particularly its full bodied texture and the bitterness.

I really don't know how many new beers the average craft drinker tries in a year, but for me 2017 was a huge year with about 350 new beers tried. Of breweries I tried for the first time, 8 Wired (NZ), Epic (NZ), Flying Dog (U.S.), Omnipollo (Sweden), To-Ol (Denmark), Tuatara (NZ), Lervig (Norway), a...

Re: Collective Arts

I was just on the brewery website and saw that IPA no. 5 will be LCBO released in February. Good news indeed, as I immensely enjoyed 2 and 4. Unfortunately I missed 1 and 3. In the meantime, I'll continue enjoying Ransack The Universe.

Re: Nickel Brook Brewing

Haven't tried the mystery pack, but LCBO online inventory says my local has a few, so I should pick one up. I've tried Bolshevik Bastard, Immodest IIPA, and Uncommon Element Brett Pale Ale for the first time recently and been very impressed with them all.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Samichlaus. When I first tried this about fifteen years ago, I disliked it because of the cloying sweetness. Today, I still dislike the over the top sweetness, but have a somewhat better appreciation for the dark fruit tastes. Nonetheless, I don't need to ever drink this beer again. Like ST Crème Br...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Rochefort 10. This one stands the test of time for me. No matter how many new beers I try, or how much time has passed, whenever I go back to this I immediately recognize it as one of the best beers I've had. Equal to Westvleteren 12 IMO, although ranked one slot below on BeerAdvocate's Beers of Fam...
