Last night: DFH Palo Santo Marron. Finally got around to trying this and it was fantastic. Like, really, really fantastic. I think it has changed my direction with beer.

Last night: SN Hoptimum: Shazam. Pretty hot but incredible. Hop syrup. As I type: Firestone Walker Wookey Jack Black Rye IPA: WoW. Not that I have many black IPAs to draw upon (let alone black rye IPAs) but this is knocking my socks off. FW's Double Jack is one of the best things I've ever consumed ...

I love hearing what people are reading...

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. A must read. Perhaps for the summer.

Just home from Buffaloin' and here to report that the trip was a success. The Zoo: well, I love all zoos, even ones that are as sad as this one. My little guy loved it so that's all that matters. And beer: Premier Gourmet is pretty solid. Also hit a Consumers and popped into a Wegmans for some fruit...

Thinking of checking out Premier Gourmet this weekend based on all I've read here over time. Taking the little guy to the zoo first to add some legitimacy to the trip...

Any good finds lately? Is there a chance that they would have the 10th anniversary Ruination?

Bellwoods Lost River IPA - went to the bottle sale today which seemed to be well attended and picked up a bottle of each of their offerings that was being sold. Seven in total. This is a pretty good drink with tons of mango within and zero booze to be found. Way too easy going down. This after seein...

Mill Street's Ambre de la Chowder: I first had this the other day on tap at The Only (after a pint of decent yet unmemorable FM Stereovision) and LOVED it. It was like a banana elixir. Drinking a bottle from the sampler pack at the moment and it's still pretty good but doesn't have the same impact a...

2012 Muskoka Summer Weiss - my palate, experience and vocabulary are insufficient to properly describe what I'm getting here, but basically, this reminds me a lot of root beer. Seriously. Maybe it's just the exceptional sweetness. But root beer. Please note: I still really like it, but this is diffe...

I haven't heard anyone mention this yet, but this year's Muskoka Summer Weiss is out. I just picked up a couple at TBS, then a few Punk IPAs from the LCBO.

Really looking forward to the Weiss - it was easily my beer of the summer last year.
So Munrets, any updates on places to drink for this thread?
I did not end up actually seeking out places to drink beer (vs. buying beer to take back to the room/bring home) so I cannot recommend in that regards. And for some reason, when I gamble I never seem to...

Tempest - yup, pretty good. (File the following under First-World problems: that waxed cap took some effort to get off...) Which is kind of nice since I've had a few disappointing drain pours lately including Dogfather (some weird sour cherryness going on), Voodoo Doughnut Bacon Maple (tasted like s...

And so: the Whole Foods is pretty great. Picked up DFH 75 Minute and Sah'Tea, Arrogant Bastard, Stone 15th Anniversary Black IPA, Beer Geek Brunch Weasel, and, despite what I've read, Rogue's Voodoo Doughnut Bacon Maple. And others. And on the issue of carding: got carded at Whole Foods. I'm just sh...
