Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

True, it's an excellent near-beer if I will be driving after a few barley-pops.
Was that the one called ".Nine"? I'm not seeing it on the BS site so it may not be available?

Might be interesting trying it at a restaurant lunch at only 3% abv. I don't do getting drilled at lunch very well especially after those forum posts about drinking and driving.

Boxing Week at the LCBO

Having just returned I noticed some of the gift sets are starting to be marked down. The Corona was down $5 and the Hoegaarden was down $2, there were some others but I was overwhelmed by the crowds.

What I found surprising, when they lowered the level was, you could go out and have a DD, get home crash for 3 or 4 hours get up and drive to work and actually still be over the limit.

As a sidebar, it seems the 12 is really flying off the shelves in the Hamilton area. A week or so ago 2 locations had it and it just sort of sat there, I saw more 12 than the Guinness 250th , go figuire. Now more locations have it and I wouldn't be surprised if it is all gone by Tuesday. I wonder if...

Somebody on my street blue boxed some U.S. empties probably because The Beer Store wouldn't take them or they didn't know. When I went by later, I knew it was going to be interesting , the bottles were left with a note telling them to take them back to The Beer Store. Actually I know a few people wh...

I actually like the LCBO and hope they keep it....I may disagree with some of the product choices they make or do not make but on the whole it is a very classy and customer friendly experience. The beer store however is perhaps the most ghetto retail experience I have ever had. Even dollar stores a...

From what I have seen elsewhere, there are 2 Guinness 250th Anniversary giftpacks. One has 8 bottles and a glass and the other has 4 bottles and a "rugby polo shirt". I am thinking the latter is the one the LC carries. So if that interests you and you go let us know!

Stopped into my local store to get some rum for my world famous barbecued turkey and saw the clerk stocking the shelves. Asked her just for a laugh if she had any of the 12 in stock and she said , surprisingly yes we have 12 but, it doesn't scan up so we can't sell it. I said I can tell you the pric...
