Never made it to the new location, and it's unfortunate it's closing. I really enjoyed the original. 1 of the first good-beer bars I started going to when I got into craft beer and homebrewing. Intimate, cozy, comfortable, and really nice staff.

Mad Tom - sweetness change

Been awhile since I had Mad Tom so I picked up 6 for the weekend. Either my palette has changed or this brew is far sweeter than I recall. Its missing the brightness I enjoyed and the sharp hoppiness has been replaced with a cloying burn. Just me?

1 bottle, 2005 I believe, sitting all by its lonesome in my beer fridge. Waiting for a good reason to drink or a good reason to trade.

I'd go "where eagles dare" for a couple of bottles. Anyone actually bringing this in?

Beer Brothers Bistro - Ottawa

Will be hitting Ottawa this weekend and it looks like we are conveniently located just a 10-minute stagger from this place. Tried searching on here for some reviews.

Any thoughts? The on-line menu looks pretty impressive

Cheers

Saw a great little Harvey Keitel movie, A Beginners guide to Endings, where GL Devils Pale Ale was being consumed in a Biker bar. Well placed for the setting of the bar

A little under whelmed personally. With a bold named like Begian Stout, and being from Spearhead, I guess I just expected a little more.

Solid enough, but after 1 I noticed the BO Double Chocolate Cherry Stout tap handle and quickly moved into familiar, and very appreciated, territory.

Local Eatery finally bringing Craft

For those here in Burlington and nearby... I've only been to the restaurant twice and wasnt all that thrilled but this will finally be a reason to drop in. Considering Nickel Brook is a 5 minute drive down the street they really should have got on this bandwagon sooner https://www.facebook.com/event...
