The cellar maintains a steady 16 degrees C but I wrap my carboy with a towel and place in on a towel as well so as not to be in contact with the cement floor.

2 weeks of bubbles

I believe I'm ok but figured this is a good place to bring it up. I brewed an all grain Dunkel 2 weeks ago, a Saturday, and my fermentation started just over 36 hours later. I used the WLP300 and I was getting lots of bubbles from my run-off tube. Just about 2 weeks later and I still got bubbles com...

Dump the grain. Spray clean with a water hose. Done. I do this. No worries. Yeah, I have been using the same cooler for 4 years, never done more than this. I also let it air dry before putting away. I stick my nose in there every once in awhile, doesn't smell bad or anything. Agree but it's a drag ...

Cleaning a mash tun

Anyone else find this a pain in the ass? Suppose it's easier with kegs but I have a rectangular coleman cooler. Does what I need for mashing purposes but man oh man, what a drag to clean.

Lots of scooping and rinsing to get that sucker clean.

Ok, so I managed to avoid blowing up the house and things are working well. 2 thoughts: 1 - sure there's a few opinions but how long can i keep the kegged beer in a good state before it's tapped too long. I'm sure it will be drank long before then, just curious. 2 - I made a dry irish stout and find...

Great article. Thanks.

I didn't purge the keg prior to transferring my beer from the Secondary.

I was thinking more of now that the beer is in the keg and I'm feeding it CO2 do I need to worry about releasing the excessive gas out as I wait to serve, or is it safe as is.

I've been reading lots and feel pretty comfortable that I'm heading in the right direction .Seems like everyone does things a little different but I'm going to se...
