Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

See, now you're just taunting those of us who have no car. :P I don't have one either, but when I can find someone who is willing to take me, I treat them to a few beers for the ride. The beer is always fresh and the food is always great...and Rich is a great host! I mean, hypothetically, it's not ...

Found six at St.Clair and Keele. I thought the ST IPA was very good - a must buy for any BT'r, regardless of "price fluxuations". I'd prefer a little more malt backbone as it had a pretty upfront bitter taste to me - but then again I don't want every IPA to taste the same! I can't wait to...

Also: I'm definitely interested in the Struise Pannepot. Not sure if anyone else is, or what the price is.

Paulaner Salvator

Pretty much everyone's had it, but I think it's one of the more unappreciated deals at the LCBO. $2.10/341mL bottle is pretty good for a very tasty dopplebock. I get honey and molasses in the nose, and honey, sweet malt, and lightly scorched nuts in the flavour. If it wasn't so damn strong, I'd drin...

Job interview went well. At the very least, I'll be in for a couple bottles of the Beer Geek Breakfast. Likely more than that.

Made the trip into TO last night (unfortunately, one day early for the ST release) and picked up County Durham Signature Ale based on things I've read on The Bar Towel. Drinking my first now and to say I'm impressed would be an understatement. I love West Coast PA's and this, in my opinion, compete...

The St. Peter's Golden Ale is in a few stores now, it seems. I picked up a couple bottles today at Brock St. Also, slightly odd, but I noticed a case of....wait for it....Bass Pale Ale....in CANS!!! It's back, for better or worse - those lamenting its delisting a couple months ago (there weren't ma...

I can't remember the last time I ate at a chain restaurant. If I'm going to go out and spend the money, I'll go somewhere decent. From experience, I'd expect that a place with a decent craft beer selection is less likely to shaft you. Most of the time, I'd rather cook - I'm pretty good at it, and th...

Btw, you're not interested in the Jackie Brown? Personally, I'd most likely be in for any of the Mikkeller brews. Not so much for the Creme Brulee - I'm lactose intolerant. :P

Re: group in KW/Cambridge/Guelph area to split private order

I am in Cambridge, and while the many private and consignment orders coming available recently look great, in most cases a full case is more then I want (ok, I want them all, but can't afford it :) Looking for some people interested in splitting some orders. I figure 6 people would be good, as that...
