I think I'll put a few of the saison Dupont away because I like it and it's reasonable...anyone have an idea how it keeps?..is it cellarable? Dupon Saison Vieille Provision ('old provision') is designed to keep a long time, I believe. Goudenband is another "provision" beer that would prov...

So the UK is getting 50000 to 60,000 cases of Rogue a year. I wonder how much we get right next door to the US. Another downer is that it is also cheaper to buy once it's in the UK than it is when we can find it here. It just don't make sense :x We get better prices than some Americans don't we? It...

It was always pretty easy to calculate

eg if a beer's a "four" you just deduct 10 of the various .1 points that would add up to 5.0. Ta-daa!

Yeah the Chapeau is kinda to get through, but then people like the Floris honey and I can't bloody stand it - like a weird bubble bath aroma or something.

Some things just aren't worth the "beer gut." I will try anything once, save incest and square-dancing.

Even a Dutch Wit is a different beast. Plus, the servings are so damn small and expensive! Amsterdam was kind of a funny city for beer. I would however agree with Micheal that people who assume to know a little about beer should never confuse the two as the two are completely different - as di...

It sounds like "significant quality difference over-rides preference of style."

I bet you 5 out of 10 people who 'don't like' wheat beers never had a spectacular one.

Good tip, Cass. You should submit it and do the first rating.

What's it like - spicy, fruity, sour, dry?

Because this is the first time we brew this, we have no way of knowing how long to age it. In any case, you won't have to rush to drink it. All that and I still have not given a definitive answer on maximum age ability have I? I apologize, this question was not to unfairly put you on the spo...

I also enjoyed the Rogue Half-E-Weizen even if there’s coriander in it. Now this obviously is not a traditional wheat beer so it may not have as much coriander as others. What do wheat beer purests think of it? It's okay, it's not a German wheat but it's interesting. I will try it again - my favori...

I think there has to be room for fun, audacious names that don't need to be lewd, offensive or disgusting. (Certain folks just won't get past the innuendo, insensitivity or gross imagery, who knows why but these folks probably don't even drink beer and perhaps suffer from the condition known as &quo...

As for being killed by the comet so you could not tell the story, think of the movie "The Perfect Storm" which had a narrator, but no one aboard the ship survived to bear witness. Perry sleep now. [/quote] Or - maybe what these guys really did was they took off from the scene of imminent ...

I've been railing for years about the timidness of our province's brewers, and like Jon, it makes me want to scream "Look at how successfully U.S. breweries are doing it!" Given the total LACK of audacity in Ontario brewing or beer names, wouldn't one single new Rogue-type brewery make on...

You should have gotten a certificate weeks ago, if your cheque was cashed early on.

Maybe call the man & confirm the address etc. was correct.

burns me about the Beer Boards is that many of the more interesting beers that appear on them are long out of stock, if they were ever in. Exactly - the purpose of the Big Board isn't to represent stock or promote the less-knowns, its purpose is to streamline puying patterns (while pretending this ...
