Re: Pine

More thanks to y'all. Interesting that the Fat Tug description on the Driftwood web site does not mention pine: Brewed with the hop aficionado in mind, Fat Tug is a Northwest-style India Pale Ale with an intense hop profile featuring notes of grapefruit, mango, melon and passionfruit. Sufficient ma...

Re: Surprisingly good beer from TBS

St Ambroise Pale Ale (with the gold label) was one of my first beer loves that helped get me away from macros as it had a unique taste - nothing at all like the pale ales we have today. It used to a regular for me until maybe 2010 or so when I guess I got bored with it. Would love to try it again b...

Bench Brewing Purchases Niagara Cider Company

I had their Ball's Falls Session IPA at the Grimsby Peach King Jr. C hockey game last night; it was great.

Re: Ontario brewed Tripels...

The Int'l Tripel Day was actually started by a local guy, @craftbeerdays (I follow him on Instagram). To his credit he's got a lot of breweries participating this year and releasing tripels specfically for the occasion. It's probably easiest just to link the website, he's got a pretty exhaustive li...

Re: Ontario brewed Tripels...

According to an email l got from Henderson Brewing, March 3 is International Tripel Day. Who knew? (not me). They are promoting their Rube Goldbeer. I've had it, considered it good, but in no way consider myself a judge of the style (or of many other styles for that matter. ) To those of you ...

Re: beer (alcohol) and health

NA beer. A variety of opinions on this, as I would have expected. For me right now, I am not much interested. To a certain degree, it's a mental thing, as in, I'm either going to have a beer, or I'm not. So I suppose then, that what am I really saying is that NA beer isn't really beer, it's somethin...
