Celebrating my local source to pick up Drie fonteinen golden blend, I had one tonight. Very nice and enjoyable. I had a Cantillon St. Gilloise recently as well from my collection. I'd say the golden blend is very similar but a little softer overall. I think I prefer the St. Gilloise. A very nice tar...

I`ve seen Lost Abbey and Stone, but the new private store in the City has not yet sourced these. The others I`m less familiar with. Great stuff for sure. And it seems many of these are going to be regularly available El Pinguino. SK is still booming and there are many job vacancies. It is resourced ...

Try to note the forum title is Random Talk, not Insightful Posts Only. :-?

Anyway, I thought it was interesting to see how far beer selection has come in a very short time in SK, due to the introduction of a few private stores. Never thought I'd see 3 Fonteinen locally. SK is a very small market.

I'm really enjoying a new private liquor store

Well, a fairly new private liquor store in my city/province is really starting to impress me a whole lot. They got in a few requests I asked for, including Gulden Draak, and 3 fonteinen golden blend / oude gueze. Super surprised on the latter. This is in addition to westmalle dubbel/tripel, rochefor...

How do you get your orders you often list on the private order forum?

I will note at least that my order was easy with a Canadian distributor.

From what I've seen of your recent orders, there are canadian distributors.

Min order depends. Always has and always will. From the link. The LCBO has a minimum order requirement of one case. There will, however, be instances where a supplier may require a higher minimum case order. Please be aware the LCBO has no control over a supplier’s minimum order requirements. I got ...

I don't think so. From the link Ontarians can leverage the LCBO global logistics network to obtain products from anywhere in the world pending supplier willingness to ship. International products typically arrive within eight weeks and Canadian products within 15 days. Also, there are some canadian ...

I did a personal private orer, but not through the LCBO as I live in another province now. But LCBO does it as well. http://www.lcbo.com/programs_services/private_ordering/content_priv_ordering.shtml It appears the ordering requirements are fairly equal. Min one case order per product. I ordered one...

Let's try to give some respect to all options, this includes places that are adult-oriented. A variety of options is a win win. http://news.nationalpost.com/2012/10/19/child-free-zones/ I think there definitely is a place for adult oriented establishments. And I'm more than happy to give them busine...

I had a friend do a run recently for me. We picked up some belgian lambics and gueuzes.

I wish I could have been there to give more feedback, but I did note they had growlers and Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter on tap. :)
