A nice summer wheat instead of white works well with poultry dishes, i do it all the time.

As for Stew, I use a dark stout like youngs double chocolate or mcauslan stout instead of red wine or.. well I put in like almost 2 cups of it.

For the ones I had before I left ontario I'd have to rate them as such: Red Racer IPA Mad Tom IPA Tree Brewing IPA Smashbomb IPA Southern Tier IPA Smashbomb and ST used to be near the top, something changed. Southern Tiers recipe is all bollocksed up or something, I remember a year ago that stuff us...

Sessioning an IPA - Anyone else have trouble doing this?

After a while it just makes the back of my throat feel odd, a little fuzzy like when your teeth aren't clean and they feel like they have wool over them. I'm a hophead if there every was one, but sometimes I feel really gross, and my stomach gets all sour. This never used to happen to me, maybe I'm ...

smashbomb ipa feb 07 bottling tastes different

before i moved to bc a couple weeks back I stopped by the brewery and picked up a 6 pack of smashmomb to bring with me to make sure my fridge wasn't an empty tomb (we drove from Ontario across Canada to BC, it was fun) Well anyway, anyone with this bottle date? It tastes.. different. I cracked open ...

You're right, it's garbage. Glad I'm out of ontario, and a 30 min drive from the BC - Washington border. I'm going across once a month, I'm able to bring quite a bit before I'm taxed, and my wife works at the office across the border sometimes for meetings and will bring some back, it's glorious. I'...

I was a little disappointed in the black ipa to be honest.. I was expecting something dark, and bitter. It's a lot more malty than I would have imagined, definitely under 60 ibu. There's also no roast in the flavor, none at all. Definitely an odd BIPA

I'm intrigued by the pricing... here in BC you can get: Bowen Island at $8.50 (more of a hoppy pale, but I'd argue it's better than Keith's): http://www.bcliquorstores.com/product/12757 The Cannery is quite good, and only $11.50 (a really great value): http://www.bcliquorstores.com/product/228163 G...

Southern tier ipa and Smashbomb ipa price over $13 now.. wtf

Bleh. what's going on here =\ Don't we get ripped off enough? Is there even a decent ipa left under 13 bucks... Sadly I'm moving to BC this coming week and everything will be even more expensive, but still. Least I can get a sixer of red racer there for 13.50 as opposed to the laughable $17.70 here....

Very good, but like someone said, not at 3 dollars a can. Especially when Smash bomb is more readily available, and is arguably just as good. Mad tom may have been better, but lost me when it went up almost a dollar. Only bought two of them because I had 8 dollars left on an LCBO gift card from chri...
