Is it just on the shelf or do you have to ask for it? I grabbed a can around 6pm tiday, 3 left after tha...

I've tried all their canned beers and the only ones I didn't really like were Zigzagger and The Bachelor. Dr Feelgood is really good.

Re: Beer Coming to Grocery Stores?

so we have websites we can use to find lcbo products and TBS products.. any way to see which beers each grocery store has in stock? Even if it were possible, I don't think I'd be worth the effort at least for now. Has anyone actually spotted an excellent beer yet at any of these stores? I see mostl...

Another option for an Ontario brewed fruit beer available at the LCBO is Beyond the Pale's Pink Fuzz Grapefruit Wheat.

Re: Ontario Announces First Winning Bidders for Sale of Beer in Grocery Stores

The Highland Hills Superstore has the best infrastructure to handle this in Kitchener, but there's a fucking beer store in the same parking lot. Any other stores that are in the same plaza/parking lot as an LCBO/TBS? Off the top of my head, the College Square Loblaws in Ottawa is in the same plaza ...

Re: Ontario Announces First Winning Bidders for Sale of Beer in Grocery Stores

can someone remind me, will this grocery store stuff result in any type of NEW beers that we won't/don't have at the lcbo/beerstore? No. Everything they sell has to come from the 'BO or TBS. There's a chance that a grocery chain could go get an import license and start bringing in exclusive offerin...

A standard freestanding LCBO store is around 8,000-10,000 square feet.

Sobey's might be decent as well. Some, but not all, of their IGA stores in Quebec have a really solid craft beer selection.

By The Beer Store's logic we should no longer sell tobacco at corner stores and it should only be sold at government or tobacco cartel owned stores. Nor should we allow privately owned restaurants and bars to sell beer either. Might be a middle aged guy behind the bar willing to sell without botheri...

Quebec should just stay as far away as possible from IPAs. I've never had an even half-decent IPA from that province. Stick to the Belgian styles, boys. Largely true, but I think both Moralite and Yakima are very nice IPAs. Ren I'd also suggest Catapulte, Leo's, Disco Soleil, Double Dose and Jukebo...

I wouldn't rush out for it. It's pretty darn dull.
I prefer it to the Blanche. Probably because it doesn't have the strong coriander note.

That sounds about right. I'd be thrilled if I lived in a town with 1 good German brewer, 1 good Belgian brewer, 1 good British brewer, and 1 good North American brewer. Instead I get Beau's. BtP is also too scatter shot. They've made some good beers, but you just never know. I don't think I've had ...
