Re: Sexism in beer labels in Ontario
Anyone who thought the Naughty Neighbour or Immodest labels were sexist is the softest millennial do-gooder there is. Nickel Brook wimped out big time on that one and the new cans are try-hard and look horrendous as fuck. I haven't seen or heard any women complain. Just dudes that are trying so har...

Re: What're you drinking right now?
I guess i'm the only one who didn't enjoy 2019 Fullers Vintage Ale, it's fine.. but not worth cellaring this years vintage. I think it's the Crystal malt they sourced from NZ is throwing me off. Not that I didn't like it but I agree the 2019 is the weakest of the last 5 years to my untrained palate...

would love to see the imperial stout on an annual basis as wellBeerIsGood wrote:Fuller’s Vintage Ale, 2019 Edition. Exceptional as always. While the LCBO Christmas release does lean heavily on repetition, in the case of the Fuller’s I hope they keep repeating.

Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA - Tallboy cans. Was excited till I checked the stamp. Looks May brewing, so 4-5 months old? Last sixer I bought here was 3 months "fresh," I didn't mind it. Love American breweries. Every time I'm at the LCBO I eye this beer and the Jai Alai from Cigar City, b...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
I've had Jai Alai at about 2 months old and it was still tasty. But I would guess this will arrive super stale. Too bad. Maduro Brown is coming this fall, not really exciting but probably ages better. Hopefully Cigar City sends something dark and robust as part of the winter seasonal release. Canne...

Re: Ontario Craft Beer, Imports and Pumpkin Beers at the LCBO (Fall 2019)
I don't think so -- it has to be brewed on-site for them to sell it directly out of their facility. So how do we explain taprooms selling beer from other breweries. recent example: Rouge River had a beer from Barncat current example: https://www.rougeriverbrewingcompany.com/bottleshop-tap-list scro...

Re: Ontario Craft Beer, Imports and Pumpkin Beers at the LCBO (Fall 2019)
La Trappe Quad, i believe, is brewed at Brunswick in Ontario. and it's Netherlands, not Belgian. Yes, correct, saw it in the fridge on my last visit to Brunswick. Though it may still benefit the monks and their causes (in a small way), i guess that means the Ontario version is NOT a trappist beer ...

There's hommage sitting in a few stores still - https://www.lcbo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/PhysicalStoreInventoryView?langId=-1&storeId=10203&catalogId=10051&productId=159531 It was web only. That likely shows the stores to which web orders were shipped. It sold out after 1 full wee...

Cigar City Jai Alai listed @ LCBO https://www.lcbo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/en/lcbo/american-ipa-16022066098/cigar-city-jai-alai-ipa-11828#.XXj683dFyUk Good news, except.... if these are as old as the Florida Cracker cans (3/20/19)- nearly 6 months old - its not something I'll be buying! https...

I was wondering if anyone has had infection issues with beers other than the 2018 BOYD? I sent a Black Roses to someone recently as a desired extra in a trade and he let me know it had gone quite sour. Has anyone had issues with 2017 BOYD, 2017 or 18 Skeleton Keys or recent 3 Minutes to Midnight? C...

Re: Uncorked-Wine and Spirits Appreciation
This evening I really enjoyed a dram of Aberlour A'Bunadh at my friends place. Is the $100 price on point or off? Aberlour a'bunadh is top 5 best bang for your buck single malts at LCBO so much so, that its been virtually the same price for nearly 10 years ($95 in 2010 to $100 today), while its see...
