Tried the Belhaven Blueberry this weekend, and it was pretty much as expected, it's a nice summer beer, I found the blueberry flavor to be a wee bit artificial, and from the ingredients list you see that they have added 'flavoring', not actual fruit... I do have a bit of a soft spot for Belhaven as ...

I'll add another "VOLO IS GREAT" comment to the list! To be honest I don't typically go to Volo for the food, but anytime I have eaten there, it's been very good, wish I lived/worked closer I'd be there a lot more often... Had dinner there a few weeks back with my wife, it was awesome, gre...

Sainte Paix What kind of fruit? My bad, I just went in to look through the bottles to see and I can't see that one, I started off entering the beers based on the receipt, I think perhaps that was an error at the register because I don't have a Sainte Paix in my box... Perhaps the Tord Vis (Maple) r...

re: the Lab fee - there's no point us all postulating about what might or might not happen, Inertia asked, was told that by the LCBO, let's leave it at that and we'll cross that bridge when we come to it... Back on track - I'll probably be interested in any of the brewers already mentioned, but spec...

Hey Gents, a co-worker just dropped off today's METRO newspaper (June 1st), there's an article called "WHERE TO GET CUP BEERS", all about places in Toronto where you can get beer from the various World Cup nations... Here's a link to the electronic version, watch out, it's a big PDF (43 pa...

Ok, I'm just finalizing plans, printing out some maps & whatnot... In addition to Mondial, we're planning to hit Metro Joanette and Dieu du Ciel, are there any other MUST SEE brewpubs?? I'm not interested in a "Rock Bottom" (If you're familiar with that chain), any place that has the s...

Re: Quelque Chose and Warming beers

Anyone know of a relatively foolproof way to "warm" a 750ml bottle? I've never attempted this before, and don't want to ruin a bottle. Have no idea of how long, how hot, etc. Throw it in the fire. Wait about 2-3 minutes, use tongs to get it back out. Wait til you've had about a dozen beer...

Apologies for continuing in the soccer vein, but for those of you who don't know who Eric Cantona is, he's a real hero to Man United supporters, he's currently 'hosting' those Joga Bonito commercials... Take a peek at this , it's a pretty decent picture of when he leaped over the advertising hoardin...
