Re: Nickel Brook Brewing

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that immodest was going to be 5$ for a tAllboy at lcbo. Seems high to me, but just throwing it out to those who have had it( I havnt). Would it be worth $5? Absolutely. Comparing that to their Winey Bastard at $14.95 for 750ml, $5 for 473ml of (in my opinion) a far ...

Re: Great Lakes

too bad about the bombers for the lcbo, that just means I'll buy zero of these instead of 10-12. at least immodest and malevolent are just around the corner! Yep, I'll probably buy one if I see it, just to compare to previous. If it were in cans....it'd be much like my lake effect purchases, easily...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

What I can remember from the past couple weeks: Flying monkeys matador- I really enjoyed this, nice spiciness from the rye and a unique cedar taste as well F&m oTmeal coffe stout- nice coffee flavour and an all around very good stout. Probably the best beer I've had from F&M Sawdust city old...

Over the last little while: Spirit tree dry hopped cider-excellent, has almost a Marlborough Sauvignon blanc fruitiness to it, I love it and I'm not really a huge fan of spirit tree draught cider Ransack the universe-still loving this Ddc-aphrodisiac(from Montreal this summer) bottled last February ...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Over the last week or so: - Refined Fool Mexican Romance - An apricot habanero IPA, and I liked it more than I thought I would. The pepper heat sneaks up in the aftertaste, but doesn't really linger or build. It complements the Simcoe/Amarillo hops nicely, and the apricot gives it a much-needed jui...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

For what it's worth, I feel that most Great Lakes ipa's do lose a lot after a period of time. I especially remember last years lake effect having a very short shelf life as far as the juicy hop flavour goes. Can't speak in this years, as I drank all mine fresh....but if I had to guess, I'd assume it...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

According to this on Ontario Beverage Network http://www.momandhops.ca/new-tall-cans-for-oast-houses-barnraiser-country-ale/ "Plans for an LCBO release are also underway for later this year." Don't get excited, it's a below average, bland, standard pale ale that almost every brewery in On...
