Re: Too many milkshakes
I like 'em so no it hasn't gone too far. If you don't like them then don't drink them. Applies to any style. I like them too, when they're good. Can you name some that you've liked that I might check out? (other than Milkshark, which was excellent) Last few I've tried have been disappointing to awf...

Re: Too many milkshakes
Agreed, though I have enjoyed a few of them, notably the Bellwoods tangerine one last year, which was awesome. At the other end of the spectrum, the new Lake of Bays peach one is close to undrinkable, IMO (and I'm not one to pile on Lake of Bays for everything they do).

Re: Dogfish Head & Sam Adams
I recall the initial 2006 release of dogfish head 60 minute IPA in Ontario led to major news coverage and an absolute buying frenzy. Our home industry was like 'really? Hoppy west coast sells better than Cream Ales and pale lagers?' Such a comparatively recent transformation yet with such an inunda...

Ah. I don't use Instagram. Thus the "old" part I guess.

You know you're getting old when
You think you are a reasonably attentive and sophisticated beer geek, yet you have never heard of the "boss pour", apparently a thing: https://vinepair.com/articles/boss-pour-beer-instagram/?utm_source=The+Drop+by+VinePair&utm_campaign=4849b856cc-MAR_29_2019&utm_medium=email&ut...

Re: What're you drinking right now?
Yes, Surround Sound, then Life in the Clouds, are the best CA offerings for me too. Re-tried Ransack this weekend based on some posts here and nothing at all wrong with it, but I didn't quite love it as much as the ones above, or a few Bellwoods offerings, say. Unfortunately I have not experienced t...

Re: What're you drinking right now?
Whitewater Icebreaker Brut IPA. Quite a credible shot at a NE-style IPA from the boys in Forresters Falls. Very nice. The challenge for those of us not in the greater Cobden area, of course, will always be finding it fresh, but slightly miraculously I picked up a can "PK ON 04 MAR 19", whi...

Pretty sure it's because they are brewed there. Same as Omnipollo.

Re: What're you drinking right now?
Weihenstephaner / Sierra Nevada Braupakt — This is just about at its BB date and has lost any notable hoppiness. However it still a delicious Hefe, on the creamy side with loads of peachy-banana going on. I picked this up at Brunswick Bierworks, they have about 5-6 Weihenstephaner beers in the frid...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO
On the less exciting side, an IPA from Creemore (ugh) and two new offerings from Side Launch (including their highly anticipated light lager  ) that mean the death of the outstanding Mountain Lager (boo hoo). But a new German Pilsner from GLB offers hope - maybe it will become my go-to Ontario...
