Home brewing: where to start?

Hi all, I've been toying with the idea of starting to home brew beer, but I am completely clueless regarding even the basics. I've watched a few videos on youtube, and it seems simple enough. I guess I have a few questions that some of you may be able to help out with. 1) Where do you buy your ingre...

So the latest shipment sold out pretty quickly. I'm kicking myself for not buying more. Does anyone know if we'll be getting any more Saison Dupont in in the next few months?

I just sent them a complaint. This was kind of a needless change to functionality in the name of aesthetics. I wonder if they intend to re-brand the brick and mortar operation as well. I sent them a complaint too, but just about the fact that we can no longer see an exhaustive list of stores and av...

Wow, terrible. No way to see which store has a given beer in stock. Now we have to manually search for stores? Talk about tedious. I hope they fix this soon.

And... the party's over: Ayinger Brau-Weisse (273656) price has changed from 2.75 to 3.95
I wasn't aware the price changed to 3.95, so I told the worker that the price listed on the shelf was 2.75 today, and he corrected it to 2.75, assuming an error on the register. Serendipitous.

I attended Griffin Session last night with my wife - this was our second consecutive year. I was a bit hesitant to buy tickets this year, as I thought the change of venue, plus the slight increase in cost (we bought general tickets) and the 'two-tiered' system may make the event less enjoyable. I mu...

Re: WESTVLETEREN 12

I'm getting numerous requests for "a few bottles". The LCBO only allows sales of full case lots...a full case is 24 x 330ml. Their rule, not mine. We have 12 on the way but will also be getting some 8 further on down the line. Peter Do we PM you, or e-mail a request? I'm still new here, s...

I was at Bellwoods today about 11:15. No line up. I saw one guy carrying a case home, and another guy purchasing 6 bottles. I picked up a case to spilt with my buddy. When I spoke with one of the girls last week, she said that she'd be surprised if lambda sold out sooner than one week. That was me ...

That doesn't make any sense. The Rochefort 8 flew off the shelves and they seemed to have thousands of bottles. I suspect this will be a mad, mad rush to just get a few. I'm glad that the R10 is coming, but sad that it will be essentially as rare as the Westy. I'm so envious of the US where they can...

720 bottles? That's a devastatingly low number of bottles.

The Queen-Brock LCBO has a few Holiday releases in stock right now (the St. Ambroise RIS and Vintage pack, Deus, Panil Enhanced, Shepherd Naeme, Cuvee Van De Keizer...), which is always quite the site when they're put out just around the corner from the rather prominent cheap sherry section of that...

I'm really excited for the Breakfast Stout. I haven't yet had a chance to enjoy it, and I'm very much looking forward to it. Can't wait. Thanks for the good news, Greg.
