Collective Arts Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Porter 2018. The $14.95 per 500ml bottle threw me a little, but I broke down and bought a few. One for now, the rest for aging. Excellent, although perhaps just a shade hot. Will age well I believe.

Re: What're you drinking right now?
Over the last couple of days.
Fuller's Vintage Ale 2018
Fuller's Imperial Stout
Crooked Stave St. Bretta Late Spring
and currently, IPA #7 from Collective Arts. For me personally, this is back on track after a not disappointing, but completely unexpected, IPA #6

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO
People here like beer, and since there are so many choices, it’s very easy to display moral indignation about one brewery and easily move on to the next. However, when the moral outrage involves a product in which the choices are far fewer, people will back peddle and attempt to justify their decisi...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO
Wow! Regarding the Founders issue...while I don’t generally like to get involved in these type of discussions on a beer page (it’s one of the reasons I come here), I will say this: judging companies and making purchasing decisions on moral/ethical grounds can be a very slippery slope. Own any Apple ...

Lean On A Square from Wild Card Brewing in Trenton. Farmhouse Ale with Citra dry hopping. I've had nine different beers here over the last month and IMO this is the best. Could tell the brewer was happy when I talked to him about it. Quite a nice Saison.

Re: What're you drinking right now?
Bourbon Barrel Dragon's Milk from New Holland. Amazingly, there are over thirty variations of this beer. Highly carbonated, quickly fading head. Very pronounced vanilla. A little hot, but quite tasty. Might pick up a couple more and sit them. In the cold (sober) light of the next day, I would amend ...

Re: Collective Arts
Was talking with a brewer today and he told me he's heard that Collective Arts will be making IPA #5 a core, year round beer. No idea of the validity of this, just passing it along.

Re: LCBO Autumn, Halloween and Ontario Craft Beers 2018 Release
Has the Fuller's Russian Imperial Stout come & gone already? The LCBO listing gives it a release date of September 18th, and there seems to be none in the system. While the beer is listed on the LCBO website, no stores are showing any inventory as of 5:45PM today. Speaking of Fuller's, I'm assu...

It's a big jump from what I last recall. Also, the ABV hasn't changed significantly, so...
Anyway, random observation. I'll buy a few, as I love it, just a little sticker shock this time around.

Re: LCBO Autumn, Halloween and Ontario Craft Beers 2018 Release
While not yet in stores, I checked the LCBO website and noticed that the Aventinus will be retailing for $8.85 per 500ml bottle. That seems a little steep. It will certainly reduce the number I intend to purchase.

Re: A fleeting brew
Unibroue Éphémère Fraise & Rhubarbe / Strawberry & Rhubarb - bottle from LCBO pours good ripe field berry aromas, slightly hazy amber coat tinged with pink and tall white head. Flavor leans to sweet with the wheaty/spicy underpinnings of an essentially Belgian-style blonde ale. The rhubarb ...
