It makes me sad that this website is nicer than the websites of many of the REAL breweries in Ontario...

Drinking one of these right now, and it's a true classic. Such a treat to have it available here.

I agree with you on the serving temp as well, Gary. It was too cold out of the fridge, but I let it sit in the glass for 30 minutes or so, and it's been just about perfect.

If it's a nice morning tomorrow, and I'm feeling energetic, I'm considering walking from Castle Frank Station to the Brickworks.

Has anyone here done this walk before? Is it best to walk along Bayview, or is there a more picturesque trail that is accessible at both ends?

Any one know if their growler sales are up and running yet? Looking to get a growler to share with a friend tomorrow, and until Left Field and Muddy York open, the options east of the DVP are pretty limited. Given that they're not brewing on site yet, I would venture a guess that the answer is &quo...

new LAKE OF BAYS NHLA GERRY CHEEVERS OKTOBERFEST ALE LCBO 400580 | 750 mL bottle Price $ 11.95 (!?) A bit late out of the gate. That is, what, our eighth different Ontario marzen this year? I had a bottle of this last night, and I'd say that it's a stretch to call it a "Marzen". That's no...

I don't believe it, it has actually happened! (I've been waiting for this for over a year now..) Brooklyn Sorachi Ace LCBO#: 322537 | 750 mL bottle $9.95 although I seem to remember the price being around $6 when it was announced as part of the summer (2013?) release. edit: this was the original li...

any word as to how the actual food was? i don't really rank BM as being a great cullinary destination. I was there, and aside from the somewhat pedestrian dessert (basically flourless chocolate cake, not as exciting as the description), the food was quite good. Michael Cipollo is a pretty great che...

Apparently there are still a few tickets left for this, which is a bit surprising to me - that's a great looking menu, and the debut of these beers in Ontario is pretty exciting, IMO.

Hope to see a few of you there!

That is a completely ridiculous choice for a URL. Especially when thestonelionpub.com (and probably many variations on that) is available. Hopefully the revamped bar itself will be better. I don't make it out to that end of town very often, but aside from Castro's, the beer scene is pretty dire alon...

IIRC, the $5/5 oz cost only applied to out-of-country beers last year.

I've updated Cass' post to include more info about the beers, including more correct/complete names.
