woke up early so i decided to throw together an oatmeal stout recipe. Used maris otter, choco, victory, roasted, crystal 60. Bittered with 40 ibus of chinook. Than pitched onto a starter or 1056. shooting for 6% abv.

Really good realse. 4 beers i dont think ill try. The rest I look forward to buying many of. Especially the panil. Havent had many sours, and look forward to buying a few to try and age. Good stuff everyone involved.

Toonight I had a sothern teir iniquity followed by a pint of netherworld. They are 2 different beasts. Iniquity would be a double black ipa of sorts, but there is really no roasted character to this beer. The label says 2 row pale and debittered black malt. Finishing off my last 2 bottles of sn celabration ale. Up next is a bottle of anchor liberty ale i just got from the lcbo. Expires october 2012, I think this might be the freshest bottle I have ever purchased of this beer.

WEnt to my local beer store lately and was plasntly suprised. They had lots of ocb. Wellington, True North, Black Oak, Flying Monkeys, wolfgang, and king among others. As well as the usual quebec and alberta offerings. I might be stoping by there more often.

Just had an arrogant bastard followed by a sam adams lattitude 48 ipa. This sam adams is pretty good stuff. The bottle is 6 months away from the best before date. How's it drinking? I will be heading up to toronto on saturday, and hope to stop by the brewery to pick some up. This may be my only chance to try it.

Right now i am drinking a homebrewed american brown ale. Brewed with some aromatic, choco, and victory malt. Bittered with chinook, and than cascade, amarillo, and liberty for aroma/flavor. Than dryhopped with a mix of the aroma and flavor hops. Its tasting very nice.

drinking a great lakes nosferatu. Great malt character between caramel and lightly toasted flavor. There are tones of hops in this. It has a wonderful floral/spicy character to compliment the taosted flavors. Definetly will pick up this next year when its available again.
