Re: Burdock Brewing

I have had 13 of their beers, and can't say I disliked any of them. The Peach and Apricot Berliner and the North East Brown Ale have been my favourites.

Re: Godspeed Brewery

I'm pretty sure Godspeed is a contraction of 'God has peed.' This is taken from the expression: "This beer is so bloody good, it tastes as if God has peed in the bottle!" As a big fan of divine urination, i like the name.

County Road Beer Co.

Dropped by this new brewery last week-end (apparently their grand opening is actually this coming week-end). They share a location with the Hinterland wine company, a Prince Edward winery specializing in sparkling wines. My wine knowledge is limited, but they have an ancient method sparkling wine th...

Re: Burdock Brewing

Burdock has a limited run in the bottle shop of their first blended barrel fermented beer: Cuvee 1. 852 bottle run. If three customers constitutes a line, then this was the first time I have had to line up to buy beer at Burdock! http://www.canadianbeernews.com/2016/02/03/burdock-launching-cuvee-ser...

Can't remember exactly but between 7 and 8 ($7.95?) for a 650ml bottle. They had two full shelves of the fridge stocked when I got there but likely more in the back.

Left Field has a new one in the bottle shop this weekend. It is called Sweet Jesus Mocha Marshmallow Stout. Haven't had one yet but the tasting room smelled great when I dropped by an hour or so ago.

Re: Dieu Du Ciel Anniversary Party & Bottle Release

I can't remember which BA version of Peche I got to try a while back, but I do remember thinking I liked the regular one better. Which isn't really criticism, since the original is amazing. I had the bourbon barrel aged variety last year at Volo and had the same thought - it was good, but the bourb...

The list of things tha...
