Agree with comments at Wellington....I can't see it getting higher marks than Brothers Beer Bistro in Ottawa. A tap list that goes well beyond LCBO offerings and same-old same-old does it for me. Basically the most important criteria for a beer bar in Ontario, IMO, is giving me access to something ...

Not sure I understand exactly what you're looking for, but as far as the LCBO goes, Oast House and Saison Dupont are available, as well as the GI farmhouse beers.

There's a metric shit tonne of saisons available on the Quebec side.

Totally agree with Welly. If that's in the top 10 in Canada, we suck so bad. And yes we do suck so bad. I gotta think they were looking at geographical distribution and said "We need SOMETHING from Ottawa. Whoa there. There's no doubt that the bottom half of a top 10 Canadian beer bars list wo...

I find it hard to think of Wellington as a "beer bar". Their tap list is ok and all, but not in the class of a Volo. My issue is just I can't really feel comfortable going there for "a beer". It's just not a comfy place to enjoy a pint, what with everyone around you putting down...

Yeah I was there for a bachelor party a few months ago and struggled to find anything on the menu I wanted to drink. Think I ended up with a bloody Erdinger or something like that.

They deserve props for being one of the first spots in Ottawa, but evolve or die.

Detour and Summer Weisse almost exclusively, with a bottle of Saison Dupont thrown in here and there.

I don't know I think they have had some pretty solid offerings. Their ESB is pretty good, and I really liked the Iron Arse charity beer they made for the ride for dad event. Their Raspberry ale was nice too. What I do appreciate is that they actually try new things, that a lot of breweries aren't. ...

The PCs ran a remarkably stupid campaign under a deeply unlikable leader and were thumped for it. The government was their's for the taking and they did everything they possibly could to make themselves unelectable. I didn't vote Liberal, but I can't begrudge those that did. I'm not shocked that Ont...

It is if it's random. That's not random, that's IR's online panel. They shouldn't be reporting a margin of error on it.

In fairness, Hudak and his merry men aren't exactly master campaigners either. Their ability to drive themselves into a brick wall given the best possible political scenario is simply astounding.

how do you propose getting your AGCO license to do this?
Fine, even more straightforward. Be refused, appeal to LAT, appeal to Superior Court, appeal to Court of Appeal, appeal to SCOC, hope we're not all dead by the time a decision is made.

This seems like the kind of thing that a craft brewery could challenge in a superior or supreme court. The government is blantantly favoring 3 companies out of over 100 by allowing only those 3 to own stores. It would have to be the OCB or a group like the OCB, the litigation would just cost too mu...
