Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

There's no way in hell I would read a monster thread like that on Beer Advocate on a good day, but it does seem like some people are confusing "most overrated" with "worst" or "bad". Can you imagine a "worst Ontario craft brewer" thread on this site? Worst, ye...

I like the idea, but 'letting the light shine through' is not ideal for the beer. Don't forget what's inside! I thought the same thing when I first saw that! But The Dieline has always had a tendency to focus more on form than function. I believe that is a legality. They don't make you enter your a...

Great advice already. Love the clown vomit comment re: FM's site. I'd start by hiring a design/branding/advertising/marketing/whateveryouwantocallit agency to revamp your look (logo/packaging/story/USP/etc) because, frankly, to me your current look doesn't exactly scream "I am a great bee...

Went last night with the wife. Awesome spot. Loved the vibe. We sat at the bar and the guys behind the bar were great. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. The music was great. The beer selection is topnotch. I had a couple of Corne Du Diable on tap, before finishing with a bottle of Beau's ...

Dominus Vobiscum Triple. I'm not a huge fan of the style, but I can't seem to get enough of this one.

Great to hear. Best news for Whitby since the long-departed Gordon Biersch Brewery opened its doors. I actually went to Whitby a couple of times - willingly! - to visit that one. I lived in Whitby when it closed. That was a sad day. As it happens, I also lived in Whitby when it opened. Without a li...

Nice review BBQ. It sounds like they didn't change much of the interior from when it was JP Fitzpatricks's? Durham County and La Trappe what exactly did he say? I'll have to check out this place the next time I find myself visiting my Whitby friends and struggle to find a good place to eat or drink ...

Grabbed a pair of Nøgne Ø Imperial Stouts in the St Lawrence LCBO tonight, which has moved to a much improved location just around the corner on Market Street.

Re: Trinity Irish Pub - Whitby

Trinity easily has the best beer selection in Whitby judging by the online menu, effectively replacing...who? Nobody I can think of. Anyway, one thing's for damn sure: The food has to be better than JP Fitzpatrick's. (I assume is the space they're taking over in there.) The food there was just awful...

They had a bunch in the fridge when I was there around 6.30 pm today. The guy working there said they were about half way through the entire batch of 25 cases. It's $4 a bottle. Worth every penny. Great stuff.

Odd how experiences can differ. Mine had full carbonation, and was not watery in the least for a 5% beer. The roasty notes were there but not dominating, quite subtle in fact. Maybe I had a different bottling...? Or maybe just different subjectivity... It would be odd if we split the same bottle. A...
