I don't get the appeal of Duggan's. The Asian Lager and Stout are decent. The rest that I have had are mostly meh and didn't inspire me to want to explore any further offerings. The serving sizes are comical. The number nine doesn't do a thing for me. The food was merely okay. I had bad service both...

Stopped in for a pre-dinner pint last night after a six-ish month absence and thought I'd give this thread a bump. The bottle selection seemed more streamlined than usual, shall we say, but was still a good representation of some of the better LCBO's current offerings. On tap: Granite Peculiar Dead ...

Infinium got by with only a "strong beer" label and it's 10.3%.

And again, I wonder what purpose these seemingly arbitrary labeling conventions serve other than to infantilize Canadians.

I picked up some Gemini and Panil today. According to the little white sticker affixed to the Gemini it is an "extra strong beer". That was a new one for me. I don't think I've ever noticed these stickers as ever being anything beyond strong. The Panil OTOH has "extra strong beer"...

That sucks. Admittedly I only bought about a dozen or so of these a year, but I have a soft spot for Anchor and always hoped we'd seem more from them, not less.

I took this at Summerhill ages ago, but I'm pretty sure they're still there around all the open-top 6 pack carriers like Rogue and Anchor Steam, etc. http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/5552/summerhill.th.jpg My experiences reflect those who have said that the policy on whether or not you're allowed ...

This is the highlight of the spring release for me. It's a bastard to pour in one shot though. I bought 18 and I'll be going back for more soon. It is beer crack.

That is a fantastic sounding list of beers. I'd be stupid not to go.

I actually typed and deleted a sentence about Smashbomb, worried it might be bad form to mention it in a thread promoting another beer. Probably I was just overthinking it.

"It will sell in the LCBO as a single 600 ml bottle, at a price of $4.35 including tax and deposit. " Awesome, thanks Greg. As much as I love the ceramic bottles, this is a much better serving size IMO. It is looking like this won't get very widely distributed in Toronto. I think they sai...

There's some at the Manulife LCBO. My girlfriend picked some up for me and said there were a few boxes of Hophead there.

Well apparently the dude above got some there Saturday. So I dunno what's going on. By the sounds of it midlife crisis got some because Bill was willing to go to the back to get some whereas the two LCBO employees last night didn’t seem to be willing to do much other than look befuddled and suggest...

Thanks! If I ever end up at the bier markt I'll likely order this. But the chances of me ending up at the bier markt are pretty slim.
